OK well this isn't exactly NEW music but it's what I'm listening to right now............

I am very happy to announce that I just found my missing Jan & Dean "Dead Man's Curve/Popsicle" CD!!!!!!!!!!! :D

This disc contains some classics, such as "Three Window Coupe" "Summer Means Fun" (2 minutes of pure California  ) "Dead Man's Curve" (a little too close to reality for my liking.......:() "Popsicle" (a Top 10 hit about icy poles, classy  ) and the most infamous Brian Wilson-penned track, "The New Girl In School", a watered-down version of the original "(when summer comes) Gonna Hustle You", which was considered too raunchy for Capitol (with the use of the word 'hustle' WHATEVER).

Apologies to the 99% of the site who have never even heard of Jan & Dean, your loss.

Sophie Ellis Bexter - Take me Home

I wouldn't mind taken her home.

As for new music, most of it is ****. I've been listening to Coldplay's Parachutes, A fine album. I've also been downloading alot of old 80's rock. Like Icehouse, 1927, Motley Crue and Metallica .

Also, am I the only one in here that thinks Alex Lloyd's Amazing has some bits of Travis' songs in it? Like the line "When all you wanna do is rock" Travis' All I wanna do is rock, and that chorus bit "And I really didn't think it would happen..." Also sounds like a blatant rip off of another Travis song, Driftwood. Listen to that and then Amazing and you'll see what I mean.

:D:D THANK GOODNESS!!!!!!! :D:D

Dead Man's Curve is one of the most frighteningly real songs I have ever heard..........but still a mighty song. :D I reckon Jan Berry is one of the most under-rated producers ever..........:) Trouble is, most people haven't even heard of him.

QT...........grrrrrrrrrrrrr ENOUGH about Chop Suey!!!!!!!!!! ;)

new songs hey
well ill have to say i quite like:
Ill Nino - God Save Us
Ill Nino - Unreal
Chimaira - Dead inside
Alien Ant Farm - Courage
Alien Ant Farm - Smooth Criminal
Incubus - Nice to Know You
Incubus - Circles
Incubus - Wish you Were Here
Incubus - Have You Ever?
Slipknot - People=Sh*t
Slipknot - DisasterPiece
Slipknot - The Heretic Anthem
Slipknot - Left Behind
Slipknot - Everything Ends
Machine Head - Bulldozer
Drowning Pool - Pity

But nothing still matches up to System Of A Downs album Toxicity
Album of the year without a doubt....every song is a killer. Cop Suey wouldnt be in the best 5 songs on that album i reckon.....Deer Dance, Toxicity, Atwa, Jet Pilot, The Prison Song, Bounce, Shimmy and Psycho would all be better i reckon!
Great album.

The new Chalice album is pretty good too.

The best songs on radio now are:

My Sacrifice - Creed (by a mile)
Simple Creed - Live
Rocking the Suburbs - Ben Folds
The Metre - Powderfinger
Monsters/Three Dimensions - Something for Kate
Dirty Man - Living End
Smooth Criminal - Alien Ant Farm

I'm a huge fan of Alicia Keys... 'Fallin' ' and basically any of her other songs.... this girl has some talent.

I also like Natalie Imbruglia's song, 'that day'....

I also love everything that Nelly is doing at the moment! He is an absolute gun!

Kylie Minogue - Can't get you out of my head
Puff Daddy (P. Diddy my ass) - Bad Boy For Life
112 - Dance Wit Me
Dante Thomas - Miss California
City High - What Would You Do
Afroman - Because I Got High
Eve & Gwen - Let Me Blow Your Mind
Blu Cantrell - Hit em Up Style
Alien Ant Farm - Smooth Criminal
Bob The Builder - Can We Fix It :p

Theres another good song called Family Affair but i cant remember who sings it

And Also..ive been listening to You Can Do It by Ice Cube...an oldie but a goodie!!

I'd pick Better Man. I LOOOOOOOOOOOVE that song. Can't wait for later this month when "Swing when you're Winning" comes out. He sings a Frank Sinatra song on the Brigit Jones' Diary cd that rocks!

He really does have a great voice for someone who originated from a boy band.

Yeah Better Man is one hell of a song - but the whole album together is great for just chillin out........and he has got a touch of the Sinatra's - lets hope he can stay in the game like the grand old man

Reliving the :) E :) fuelled summer of love (hey, it's hot weather here in Melbourne!) from the early 90s with:

"Don't Fight It Feel It" by Primal Scream
"Loaded" by Primal Scream
"Higher Than The Sun" by Primal Scream
"Come Together" by Primal Scream
"Ebeneezer Goode" by the Shamen
"Fine Time" by New Order
"Soon" by My Bloody Valentine

:)

If ever a song deserved to be a hit, it was Driftwood. An absolute pop masterpiece, but it got stuck in that gap between teenie-girl radio (Fox, TT) and bloke radio (MMM), so never got played, so never got heard, so never got bought.

Far and away the standout track on "The Man Who".

At the moment, the songs I like are:
Island in the Sun - Weezer
How you remind me - Nickelback
Ride wit Me - Nelly
Amazing - Alex Lloyd
there's a few others on the radio I like too
Listening to a fair bit of Powderfinger, Incubus and Travis at the moment too
