Scott Thompson v Daniel Cross v Cameron Bruce

These are 3 dropped in price proven premiums over the years, what do people reckon. I won't be trading in any of these guys this week but they have very high b/e's and should be good trading targets for people who have Rich or Otten or Cogs (potiential keeper but won't be for the good teams, i'm shit tho..) etc.

Cross = Thompson
Bruce

Cross would be the safest option. A bit of a decline in his numbers, but he should pick up the pace over the rest of the year.

Thompson's scores are down this year because he's been forced to do more of the inside work. He's winning more of the ball but he's handballing almost twice as much as he's kicking. For that reason I'm not sure about him.

Bruce looks like he's playing less of a ball winning role this year. Melbourne's midfield's looked good so far, and with Green still to come back I doubt Bruce can reach his previous numbers.

Due to unpopular demand, i would go bruce :D
(but seriously)

Cross has a breakeven of 120, Bruce 96 and Scotty Thompson a whooping 151.
Can anyone find out how much they will drop say they score about 90 points?

Cross has a 70 that'll last two more weeks while Scotty Thompson has a 57 left for another two weeks. Bruce is likely to breakeven or be there abouts. Bar Boyd the doggies midfield's been disappointing this year with Coooooooooooooooooooooooon, Griffen and Cross. Hopefully they'll step it up as they win more.

@Lifelike, i reckon Thompson's more inside due to the rise of the likes of Mackay and Vince. Van Berlo and Knights are travelling reasonably as well atm. Hopefully he'll play more outside, can any Crows supporters tell us more about him?

Yeah it's definitely a reason as to why he's handballing a lot more, but the change of Goodwin's and Edwards' roles looks like it's had an impact as well.

we'll have to see how this season progresses. Chances are he's going to drop to the 350k mark and when he's that cheap he has to be considered. The fact that the Crows are going shithouse means a few changes will be made, hopefully Thompson playing more outside is one of them.

Cross using FFgenie should reach about 340K in two weeks. Should be rip for the picking. Rich to Cross should cost about 60-70K

upgrading hill this week and wana bring in a backmen under 380k the 4 i was considering were fisher, mackie, scotland and enright. who would be the better pick up and who do you see averaging the most

mackie- had a slow start to the year but has still posted some decent scores. will probably go back to his loose man in defence roll again now that harley is back. i see him averaging 85-95.

fisher- averaging 86 so far and has been good despite some shut down rolls. always puts in a solid score most weeks. i see him as the man most likely to get 100 when needed i think he got 9 100s last year and has 3 this season. i rekan he will average 85-95

enright- 20k more expensive than the other two but has had a consistent start to the year only falling below 75 once and that was against the swans. is good for scores of 75-100 most weeks and hardly gets noticed in the cats midfield and back half. is it worth spending the extra 20k to get him over the other two. should average 85-95

scotland-had an ok sart to the year although he did get dropped. capable of some huge score. has averaged 100 in a season a couple of times. is a ball magnet so will always pop up with solid dt scores. average 85-95

so in summary there aint much in it can i get some opinions on who would be the man to get. cheers

Rodger Hayden(7th back) + Kurt Tippet (2nd Ruck)

vs

Jack Grimes + Darren Jolly

Just wondering what people think... Might do it this week, but probably wont...

Scotlan (367k) v Mackie (344k) v Birchall (352k)?

Leaning towards Scotland ATM. Has the highest ceiling and is pretty consistent. I rate them in this order Scotland, Birchall and then Mackie.

Thoughts?

You pretty much answered your own question there

as for my thoughts Scotland and Birch are both consistent but Scotland does have that upside of scoring tons more often than Birch does and Mackie is probably the riskiest option

scott thompson vs cameron bruce vs shane tuck

proberbly leaning towards tuck... might have a big half of the season like last year... thoughts?
Shane Tuck is good option especially with the high possesion game Richmond play, probably the best option there. Even when he has a quiet game he still scores around abouts the 80 mark

I'd like a quick answer to see what you all think.

Should I play Zaharakis (vs Richmond) or Cockie (vs Collingwood) this week?
Not sure, Zaha let me down last week but I think he is capable of a higher score than Cockie

???

Personally i would go Cockie as its at home and against collingwood who leak the dt scores. Kerr might also be a late withdrawal (but i doubt it) and this means more tog and time in the middle for him.

Zaha on the other hand is playing richmond who are juast plain shithouse

So its definitely a tough one

Flip a coin maybe?

Good idea! Here I go! Heads Cockie (c.o.c.k head....get it???), tails Zaharakis.

Here's the flip....
