Stokes - This bloke should have gone years ago, so composed and clean with the ball, size shouldn't be a factor. Plays mainly in the middle as a rover but this year has enjoyed time in the back pocket setting up plays with good accurate kicking out of defence, never rushes his disposal and picks the rightr option. Has pace and when forward is very dangerous, I think he kicked 8 goals in a finals game last year as a rover or half forward who kept slipping forward all the time.

I like the sounds of this guy. The more I hear about him, the more I think of Wirrapunda, good skills, good pace and reads the play well, not to mention the fact that he's a midget as well

I would to say thanks for the imput from the Non Cat followers especially those based in SA. You'se guys seem to think we have done well and its nice to hear , as its a bit hard to judge at the moment as
Varcoe , hasnt hardly played in games against the kids we could have drafted and Gamble and Stokes were definately low rep picks.
I think we have done well with SA boys over the years,from Pres Lindner to Bernie Smith , from guys like Sanderson to Corey Enright. I can only hope that these guy live up to your confidence.
Its just a shame there is no state games any more Id think we could supply a few player to both sides.

Hard to say who he plays like, I wouldn't say Wirrpunda, he is more squirmy than that. Perhaps a poor man's Wanganeen, I dunno. Socks down player if that makes any diff!

Both Bernie Smith and Bruce Lindner came to Geelong from West Adelaide Football Club.
