North (Optus) - After the bye
Essendon(Optus) - 5 day break
St Kilda (Optus) - 10 day break
Sydney (SCG)
Hawks (Home)

The next 5 games all winnable. Hopefully Sydney and Hawks don't find form, but I think the minimum we need to win is 4. Hopefully we get all 5, which leaves us on 12 wins, and gives us a great platform to push for 15 plus wins for the year.

After this we have which includes 3 very tough games, and only one easy game.

Collingwood (Away)
Eagles (Home)
Carlton (Home)
Port (Away)
Brisbane (Home)
Bulldogs (Away)

Really should win 4+ of those 5.

AFL have been tough in bombers - they play next Sunday, then Saturday (same as us) then fly here for the Thursday night game. 5 day break off a 6 day break is pretty unfair - be something wrong if we don’t win that against a team with so many youngsters.

There are 11 games left for us. We’ve won 7. Fourth last year had 14 wins. So we can only afford to lose 4 more games this year.
It’s going to be competitive. Teams are all over the place. Stay the course and win 4 of the next 5, that’s 11 and 6.
Left with Carlton then West Coast at home, after Collingwood at the MCG.
It’s an opportunity right there. I’m sure the lads from last season relish the finish to the season. They’re hungry

We just can’t afford a mid season dip nor injuries at the end of the year

I think we need to win 4, want to win 5 and what Freo will chuck up is unknown.
We shouldn't lose any of the games at Optus, and if we do the Sydney game is very winnable.

As a side note why oh why teams coming off the bye don't play each other, it would be a good small equalisation measure.
North will also already be here after playing the Eagles in Bunbury, let's roll out our best distractions WA!!

We should be winning 5/5. 4/5 would be okay, 3/5 a bit shit. If we only win 3 we must win 3 of the last 6 games to get to 13 wins. If we win the next 5 we go into that last stretch only needing to beat 1 team (the eagles probably being the easiest there) to make finals.

The next 5 games really set us up for whether we realistically make finals or not. No pressure JL!

Hate these threads because they never bode well for us.

The next 3 are very significant though - 3 home games against sub-par competition. We drop any of those and we don't deserve to play finals and JL doesn't deserve to be coach.

But if we make it to 10-5, with a reasonable healthy list there's no reason we shouldn't be playing finals, and I'd be hopeful of Top 6.

I'm never saying Top 4 again after last year, not unless it's locked in for longer than David Mundy's playing career.
