It's funny how our philosophies have basically flipped.Not if England continue on the Bazball route, pitches are flat there and the dukes haven't done as much as they used to in the last 3 or 4 years. Shield pitches are harder to bat on than county pitches now.
The Dukes used to have the more pronounced seam and swing longer while they put out green seamers, while the Kookaburra would get old fast on our hard pitches.
Now the Kookas have emphasised the pronounced seam and double lacquer to swing longer while our pitches have turned into greener seamers while the Dukes is softer and ages faster while they put out faster hard decks to help Bazball.
I partially blame this for our anaemic batting - It's so much harder to learn how to put together long innings now given the balls and pitches have a ball with your name on it every other over.
