Why are the Liberal Party so hell bent on picking sides like this?
Legitimately, how is this possible?I know people who worked on the liberals modelling. The modelling is far more garbage then the media even realise.
The Liberals don't pay for the best. The Liberals pay to reinforce what the Liberals already want to hear. Frankly they might as well write it themselves - everyone else is an unelected bureaucrat after all.Legitimately, how is this possible?
They should be paying for the best easily, would understand them completely ignoring their findings though

Sadly correctThe Liberals don't pay for the best. The Liberals pay to reinforce what the Liberals already want to hear. Frankly they might as well write it themselves - everyone else is an unelected bureaucrat after all.
That is how they ran government as well.
I think we need to rewind a few years for the more apt comparison. Ley is Theresa May, a milquetoast, boring politician who got in because they didn't want to pick the more bombastic figure, but too uninspiring to ever do better than tread water. Well Done Angus and Jacinta the sellout represent different aspects of Boris Johnson, just minus all the charisma.A repeat of Truss vs Sunak? Didn’t they both prove to be winners? Not.
They all probably get paid more as sky opinion journos though I really don’t see how the financial model works at skyWhat all those quoted have in common is that they never had the courage to put their hands up themselves.
It must be nice for Susssssan Ley that she gets to decide whether Welcome to Country is relevant or not. Looks like she's another one who thinks those Nazis f***s at the Shrine were onto something. We should unite under the one Australian flag. That is my firm view … with respect to welcome to country: if it’s simple, if it’s meaningful, if it matters, if it resonates, then it’s in the right place,” she said. If it’s done in a way that is ticking a box on a Teams meeting, then I don’t think it is relevant.
But they'll still pay thier dues just to throw shit from the cheap seats. What all those quoted have in common is that they never had the courage to put their hands up themselves.

Anyone see how Sky After Dark handled Sussssan winning over their boys?
They're going to have to come up with something a bit better than some vague idea that Australia somehow needs the Liberal Party.Ted O’Brien this morning;
“That is our goal, to save Australia from a bad Labor government”
I guess they are not quite ready to meet Australians where they are just yet
They could not be more entitled if they tried.
They've learnt nothing from the election.![]()
Sussan Ley elected first female Liberal party leader and leaves possibility open of Coalition abandoning net zero targets

The story Ley is peddling today is that she represents a path for change for the Liberals away from the divisiveness of the past.
Her own role in that divisiveness's cannot be so easily erased
Not just christianity. All religions and beliefs in spiritual powers. This is going to be a problem for her which it shouldn't be when christianity as every bit as crazy as numerology but I suspect Ley will come to regret coughing to that.
Fiona Scott with the drive-by this morning.
There is no way Ley makes it to the election.
Scott being LP vice-president explains a lot about their current predicament.Fiona Scott with the drive-by this morning.
