Best first year player: Pick number 1, its gotta be that person.

BC, on the Wonaemirri delisting, you can't be serious.

Next year will be Austin's 2nd year. He will be 20. Are you saying that we'll be delisting him after two years (The first one an excellent debut season) even if he didn't play a game all next year?

Sure, I can understand if you said he's not part of our long-term plans, but to suggest he'll be gone at the end of next year is ridiculous.

I'm with dee-molision on Frawley, he needs more time to develop and I think he will be a great full-back in the future.

There are too many ifs and buts at this point to say one way or the other but in principle I agree with where BC is coming from. In many ways Austin is still an unknown quantity at AFL level. I think (as harsh as it may be for him) 2009 will be a make or break year for him. If he doesn't get much game time then I don't see how it is going to help his chances. If he gets mega fit and shows that he can be consistent with the strengths he has then he may be ok. He doesn't have to turn into a multi faceted footballer but he does have to establish some sort of niche in the side. Expectations by the coach of everyone in the team will go up a notch next year so Aussie will be under the microscope in basic areas such as pace, tackling and work rate. We all love him and hope he does well but I personally think he has to take this pre-season by the balls or he may be in trouble.

Ladder Position: 15th, 4 wins, above WC
B&F Winner: Jared Rivers
Leading Goal Kicker: Brad Miller(35-40)
Best first year player: Aaron Cornelius if we get him.
Most improved: Nathan Jones
