Boy is certainly delivering on the sort of form he constantly showed in the 2's.

He's just a good, solid and neat footy player who IMO actually does have quite a bit to offer our midfield. For all our ability to win the ball and get clearances, we haven't always had the cool heads and/or skills to deliver the pill once we got it, but Nicky G certainly does.

Get a fast, classy runner or two in there as well and suddenly our midfield is back to looking extremely potent.

Certainly looking forward to Bryne and Boekhurst complementing Cripps, Graham and Holman by the end of the year. We actually have a fair bit to work with.

Whiley will also get his chance next year with the retirement of Carrazzo.

Do you think (apart from Mick being a piece of dog shit) is you just don't notice a lot of Grahams work?

I would not have thought he had it 24 times today.

Didn't notice 24 touches, but what I did notice was the inside 50s! This week and last week, Graham's inside 50s have been a sight to behold.

Kicks the ball to space, to where the forwards should lead to, not where they are.

Many of his I50s seem to be marked by Carlton players on the lead, with the ball clearly favouring the forward.

Doesn't have Yarran-like kicking skills, but shows the value of a 'natural footballer' being able to create options.

Definitely feels as if he's got a bit more time with the ball now that he's settled into AFL.

Takes a bit of a run and sums up most situations well. Really does have the Sam Mitchell comparison going.

Also easy to see he's a popular figure amongst the other youngsters and even the more senior players. Doubt he'll be seeing anymore VFL for quite sometime.

There is really no need for that kind of insult about MM.

Mick clearly got it wrong about Graham, but that's footy, I honestly feel we can celebrate NG's growing confidence and stature at the footy club without constantly degrading Malthouse (its okay to be critical in a constructive manner without resorting to crude terms like being a piece of dog shit) ..

Like the players, Mick just brings out the best in me.

Poor form!

I've seen enough of Graham over the past couple of years to be able to say, his time was always going to come about.
I was though concerned that it may not be at our club as 'other people' have asked questions.

He's just a smart reader of the game in a similar way McLean was. Graham does a lot of things well but can't be something he's not.
Should make for a good role player for years to come. Kicking goals seals the deal.

Yeah, he reminds me of McLean. While I think at his best McLean had more polish but Graham has more time.
