I agree that I like him better on a flank. I think he plays the role of high half forward pretty well.

His ability to play that role and Nick coming on to the list is why I’m comfortable with Josh Thomas being moved on.

I reckon that high half forward role, with the occasional midfield rotation, would be perfect.

Watching Kingy and Montagna outline on First Crack the way the Dogs are using Bont, Treloar etc to play that role was really interesting.

Essentially working up to the outside of stoppages and then into the forward 50 would be a great way for Nick to start off and suit his skill set perfectly.

this poor kid is going to have so much pressure on him. Any poor form and the wolves will be out. Think many need to lower expectations just a tad.

He has already had lot of Pressure on him

I'm not going to bet on him winning the Brownlow until 2023.

I think that role applies nicely to both Nick and Josh.

I didn’t see First Crack. The role I was thinking was the role Cousins played sometimes at West Coast where he played high half forward and basically became an extra midfielder due to his work rate.

That may not apply to either Daicos initially when it comes to work rate but their ability to gather the football and instinctively make good decisions going inside 50 like you’re describing sounds right to me.

He has the POTENTIAL to be very special, has the moves and natural reading of games and opponents but so much can happen.
Optimal word in Caps, he’s a better chance than any in this draft but he’s done nothing at AFL. I am looking forward to it and having both Daicos kids out there will be a treat, hopefully my kids get to watch the next generation with as much enjoyment I got out of watching their Dad.

You reckon Chrisso is going to rub him out? Damn, I hope the games he misses aren’t terribly important…

Yeah, you'd have to be confident North or GWS weren't bidding. Or unless this was at a time they were going that badly, most didn't think they would win another game

Just imagine a young gun choosing to turn his back on the chance to play with his brother and for the club his father played and became a legend as well as walk away from playing at the G most weeks in front of huge fanatical crowds in order to play for a club with no history in front of empty stands.
No serious young footballer would ever make such an insane choice.
Talented kids live for the big stage so they can put on a show.

12 x 3 vote games should secure him the Charlie and the AA captainship but if he gets rubbed out for striking Toby Greene, so be it; worth it.

Is he any good?
Nah, I heard he can't run. Struggles with the ball, shanks kicks.
We may consider him for the rookie draft the word on the street is.

I reckon he's okay with them. I've seen him train... he's ready for AFL and what it'll bring, for the better or worse.

The issue will be tempering media/fan expectations. He’s not gonna get 40 touches and 2 goals a game.

All indications suggest he’ll be bloody good though.
