Smith has been delisted by the Demons.

SA boy, a KPP - any chance we might pick him up?

Clearly hasn't come on as the Dees would have liked. Has any one seen much of him in the VFL over the last couple of years?

I wouldn’t mind seeing the Crows go after the young hawks KPP in Luke Brennan; he showed something in his few games with Hawthorn. Good athlete and ability to make a contest.

He would be a good back up as either a forward or defender.

Brennan is not a KPP and hence why he was cut by the Hawks. He is "an in-between height". They took him in the draft hoping he would grow a bit more into a KPP.

Not interested.

As for Smith, He has great hands overhead, kicking is iffy. Not big enough for a ruckman and not agile enoug for a KPP at AFL level. Plus he is injured all the time.

I would think we would invite him to PS training and see where we go from there. Either way, Redlegs look set to recieve a major boost to their forward line stocks for next year.

I thought you might like the idea :D :p
He would dominate with the Legs. ;)

But in all seriousness, I wonder what went wrong. He captained South Australia’s U/18’s team; an honour wouldn’t have been given unless he was a good talent. He's strong and with good marking ability, plus he can play CHF/CHB or in the ruck. Injuries have taken their toll, but he’s only 22 and if there’s nothing better available in the PSD I wouldn’t mind having a look.

When have I ever said I would cut Luke Jericho? Unlike most on hear I like Jericho and think he has a plethora of untapped talent.:thumbsu:

I though Luke Brennan was more like 192cm but 185cm is way to short to play as a KPP in the AFL and now I know this my opinion regarding his recruitment has changed.

Not sure on the exact ruling on the rookie list, and Smith And Brennan may be a bit too old, but I wouldn't mind rookie'ing them if the AFC thought they were worth a punt.

Player has to be 23 or under IIRC so i would think Smith would qualify just

198cm fellas are always worth a punt I reckon. If the AFC want to rookie him, then I'd be happy with that.

I think he is 196 cm

Smith, a 198cm forward/ruckman, had not played for three years when the Demons named him last month to help out Jeff White against Dockers' giant Aaron Sandilands
[\QUOTE]

The Demons web site may say something different, but I was just going by the article.

AFL record book quotes 198cm as well.

Rookie would be fine, but wouldn't take him in the PSD

He has got a bad wrist from what i know.

I can see the points about him being a tall so they take a bit longer, but if melbourne are moving him on they must of seen something fatal in his game that he will in all probability not be able to overcome.
