Hill can also kick on his right. Doesn't use it often, but does it when he needs to. Suban can't do a thing on his right. Instead he just handballs or pretends he's playing rugby.

To be honest i actually can't recall Suban ever using his right foot. To be so one sided in modern footy severely hampers his ceiling of where he could get to.

Shouldn't just rip into one bloke 2/3 the team was shit but he is a pretty limited footballer at the highest level. Doesn't really have much apart from a decent left foot, and even that isn't all that great.

He's not the reason for the loss, that's other problems relating to structure.

He's just not that good. And the fact he's never been omitted for form, in his six years of AFL footy, is amazing.

Is that right? I certainly remember him playing a few WAFL games through the years but. I guess you are saying that was due to his injuries?

The one thing he gave the team when he is playing well is a real aggression at the ball (along with the penetrating left foot). He has never been a large stats player and this year, so far, without his trade mark aggression(which we could have used last night) he is not making a difference. He needs that run in the WAFL to get his confidence back.

Perhaps it could be said that we have a number of "role" players who can't make the difference when the stars are not playing or not playing well.

Actually he may have been dropped in 2012, although he had injuries that year as well.

Where is his best position? He can't really play HBF, isn't quick enough for midfield... can he play HFF? Not really sure of his overhead marking ability.

I don't mind Subes but he hasn't made any position his own. I think he probably struggles a bit from getting thrown around into different roles and not being able to get settled. Although mind you he did play well as a sub last year - maybe when the pace of the game slows down in the 3rd and 4th his pace isn't as much of an issue?

good point our list is the oldest list in the comp with not much upside, it's scary to see 18-20 yr olds killing it for other teams. I think we have to persist with Sheridan/Simpson/Crozier over Suban when Barlow come back, even though I have my doubts about him. We can't afford to carry players that give us one solid effort every 6 games. Both Geelong and hawthorn both keep playing youth and keep their teams fresh. My point is if players continually aren't good enough play what youth we have.

We must never forget the team has rules, disciplines and procedures which must be adhered to. A past, very good reputation stands for nil at Fremantle.
We have a losing mentality albeit a disciplined one which all fans should be proud of .
Proud and disciplined loser = Freo. 17 years worth of tradition should not be merely thrown out the window.
So, stick with Suban and remind Colin Sylvia that although right at this moment we desperately need a big bodied , strong mid to replace Barlow, he will not be considered because we have standards of discipline to maintain.

So let the games begin.

late edit : Nobody has actually said which rules Sylvia has broken but everybody knows for a fact that there must be some because he is not being considered for a game.
