Anyone know what the club's bench press record is ?
I recall a player mentioning that Micky Martyn held this record. Anyone know what the weight was ?? 115KG + ??

Not sure if it was free weights or on a machine, it is a lot harder to do free weights.

About 150kg I think. The G train can move the iron as well.

Man, that is a heavy weight.

I remember that Harvey has the best Weight to body weight ratio.In other words he's the strongest person pound for pound.But yeah for pure strength i'd guess Mick or Carey

Actually, It wouldnt suprise me if Leroy got somewhere near Micky's record.
The one thing which I cant get over when I pop down to Arden St to watch the boys train is the size of Brown, ( pity he plays like a girl ! ) In my opinion, he is by far the "thickest" In terms of side on profile chest to back width....

So it wouldnt be beyond the realms of possibilities that Brown may well be the strongest at the club.

I think Spud would be the best at the moment without shadow of a doubt. He has a mountain of a chest.

Would be very interested to see how Hale goes. He could be a darkhorse. Has really developed upper body strength in the last few years.

I think the G-Train benched pressed 210Kg. I don’t think we have many that can do that, if any. I think Shannon watt is also up there at the club in bench pressing around 150Kg.

According to that article Gehrig pressed 162 at West Coast and he was alot smaller back then.

Im about 180cm and 73kg

and my max is about 85-90kg but it would only be one or 2 lol

I do sets of 62kg, 4 x 10 reps.

I'm a little bit out of shape due to work and holidays getting in the way recently, but last year (2007) I was benching 100 kg for a couple of reps, mainly doing sets of 80 kg - 85 kg for 8 to 10 reps. Currently trying to get those numbers up!

I'm 95 kg and about 6 foot tall, maybe 5' 11".

Interested to see the numbers for squats at the club - I reckon that exercise is the difference between the men and the girls. Pure pain if done properly, pure pain if done improperly.
