Why is it, that in the Legends bar, I'm NOT allowed to take mid strength beer to my seat but sprits and wine are okay.
Ridiculous.
Who's got the answer?

Not just the Legends bar it's the rule for any bar at AFL games for night matches. Such a bizarre rule, you just can't imagine how they came up with it.

Full strength beer at half time and hip flask at the seats. Problem solved.

Could be because they make more profit on spirits and are therefore trying to force people to select spirits. Just guessing of course but it wouldn't surprise me

You can take mid strengths to the seats, no? Just no full strength beer (which is still ridiculous)? Or has the rule changed?

The social club bar doesn't sell mid strength beer. Best bet is to buy a mid at another bar, tip it out, and use that cup for full strength.

Ah yes right you are. I had to buy Peroni's one time because they are mid strength. Cost eight thousand dollars IIRC

You must have long arms :D

P.S It is thread worthy for the nest 'How do you sneak food into AFL games' :)

Night game = penalty rates
No Beer, only Spirits = more cash....
maybe?

I have a medical condition that prevents me from drinking anything with an alcohol volume of less than 4.2%.
Me too, even got a pass for handicapped parking....rofl

At half time tonight I thought I would make my way over to The Legends Bar for a beer. I figured I deserved it after having to watch the performance of our team. I got to the door only to be informed that The Legends Bar had been cancelled because of last minute bookings for the dining room. I then had to go to the Dean Jones bar, and as I waited for almost 20 minutes to be served I had time to gaze across at The Harrison room. I noted how big the room is and how empty it appeared. Perhaps lukem could explain why ordinary people who make sacrifices to become Legends members continue to be treated like second hand citizens. Quite frankly, I don't care for the fireworks and kiss cam, I just want a proper social club bar that doesn't cost me $70 per head to get into.
