Just read the report in the online rag. Noble stressed that he's keeping the seat warm for Dean

While Noble is back in the box — for the first time since he supported acting coach Mark Bickley after Neil Craig’s sacking late in 2012 — on a temporary basis there are other permanent changes to Adelaide's match-day staffing of Sanderson's elevated box and the boundaryside bench.
So who's doing Noble's job?

I guess we'll just put all contract talks on hold until October.Isnt he list manager?
There isnt much to manage during the season.

Not happy about this. I thought Noble was a terrible forward coach. I wasn't the only one.
Sounds like a game of musical chairs.

Not sure I would agree with this. These days most clubs that are doing it well (which includes us over the last 2 years IMO) get the majority of contracts sorted during the year. The trend is away from leaving these to the end of the year as provides certainty and reduces speculation on key players. I would hope there is a proper backfill situation for his list management because you can't just put that on hold for 6 months. I also dont think he can do both. The focus on each would not be as good.I'm sure theres a committee and other people involved!
And I'm also sure that he will be fulfilling the commitments of the list management role throughout the season.
Just saying there isnt nearly as much to do in the season for a list management role, while pretty much every other role at the football club is the opposite.
Perhaps he can continue the musical chairs & do some list management/scoutingWhat happened to VB then? Wasn't he supposed to have taken on some of Bailey's duties?

Im not really sure how you can attribute anything that happened last year to Bailey not being there. Didnt really seem to change much when he came back.PS. Bailey is still a significant loss. Hopefully we adjust better to his absence than last year!
Our record with Bailey was much better than without ... but the damage was already done by the time he returned.Im not really sure how you can attribute anything that happened last year to Bailey not being there. Didnt really seem to change much when he came back.
Ill take your word for it. What was our win loss ration in 2013 with and without Bailey? Our record with Bailey was much better than without ... but the damage was already done by the time he returned.
We were playing better later in the season - once too late.Ill take your word for it. What was our win loss ration in 2013 with and without Bailey?
I know it was a popular theory around here, and I respect your opinion. Just not sure there is a thread of evidence to suggest we were a better team when Bailey returned. Our structure that we had spent an entire pre season finessing took a fair hit in round 5 and again in rd 17. The absence of a viable ruckman for much of the season could not have been much help either. Very hard to attribute anything to Bailey in my opinion. We were playing better later in the season - once too late.
I have no doubt that Bailey's match day smarts was sorely missed.
sando has acknowledged that Bailey was the Guy he turned to most in 2012I know it was a popular theory around here, and I respect your opinion. Yeah - no high profile 2014 FA targets to chase down.Isnt he list manager?
