Guys guy guys! while their new stuff is pretty good, Punk in Drublic is where its at!

I agree with that, sensational album, White Trash Two Heebs and a Bean close second.

I'm a huge fan of Bad Religion
I even bought a brown Fender Precision
Signing to Atlantic was a really bad decision
Now they're back on Epitaph hey!

I bought Suffer then I bought a thesaurus
Then Graffin sang on S+M Airlines Chorus
Now we hang out and party on each other's tour bus
because the old bands know how to have fun

They seem to love Australia and Australians (not pretentiously like most other bands are). In Franco Unamerican like has been mentioned and some song in 7" of the month club called Insulted by Germans Again they say "Australians I have no **** to say you guys are cool" and then something about everyone moving to Australia and bring american drugs and germen beers.

such a good consistent band... not much more to say really is there.

Pretty muc laid down the blueprint so Blink 182 and lal the other pop-punks could plagiarise, but to this day noone does it better.

A much as they play down their musical abilities in their songs, they are quite talented muscians. El Hefe can play every damn instrument under the sun. A trumpet here, a saxaphone there, ska one minute, reggee punk the next. Their versatilty and consistency are the cornerstones to their music. They are truly one of the greatest punk bands of out time. S&M, Maximum rock and roll, Ribbed, White trash and Punk in drublic are my faves. While the new stuff still awesome, i guess i was right in the thick of it when these albums were around!

Saw them in 95 and 97. The palace was off it's head, it was one of the best punks shows ever held in this state.

Props to a great fu...n band who have given me much pleasure for a very long time now...

Yeah i never really appreciated how good at their isnturments they were til I saw them live. they really, REALLY know how to play.

This isn't very gangsta of you, rJ. But I agree, they are an awesome band. Favourite song is Happy Breakup Song.

Damn i havent logeed on for a while and just saw this thread.

NOFX are my favourite band and always have been.
Got all their albums, S & M to best of, Rancid split and B-sides and can't think of a song i wont play. Definatelty can't pick a favorite song or album. Maybe Pump up the valuum, only because its the most consitant and different.
Top band all the way especially when Hefe joined come Longest Line.
Man im so happy other people out there have appriciation for NOFX :thumbsu: :)

Sorry i got all their CDs starting at S&M. What vinals came out before S&M?
I don't have vinals,i decided not to go that far so i can get more CDs from other great bands. I think i got nearly 300 and i can think of another 100 i want. Its terrible, thats like a deposit on a house  :D

Saw nofx last night, was brilliant. The Decline played in full. Here's a rough set list.

Straight Edge
Eat the Meek
Radio
Dont call me white
linoleum(encore)
Lori meyers
The Brews(last song before encore)
The cause
Reeko
The Decline in full - that was absolutely crazy, best thing ive seen live i think. Lindsay from frenzal played guitar on it at the end
Seeing Double at the Triple Rock
She's Nubs
Franco Unamerican
Pharmicists Daughter
Bottles To The Ground
Louise
Muder The Government
8 songs in 5 minutes - Included I'm Telling Tim, see her pee, i wanna be an alcaholic, instant crassic, f**k the kids, Juice Head, one i didnt know and one other i cant remember right tnow but it should come back to me
Hefe did a cover of no woman no cry before they played linoleum

I think the song before the brews was falling in love not sure tho.

I saw them on the 16th, which was their first show of the tour. They didn't play The Decline and said they'd be playing it when they came back to Melbourne next week (which was tonight). Fat load of good that did me coz it was a sold out show.

Good set though. With the amount of material they've produced there's always gonna be a bunch of songs they don't play that you'd love to hear. Surprised they didn't play Separation of Church and Skate though. To be honest, it seemed like they were going through the motions just to kick off the tour. Only memorable for the fact it was the first time I've seen Nofx, not because of their actual performance, which I would rate as "not great but pretty good." ;)

Went last night here's a brief set list:

Straight Edge (jazz version of course)
The Decline (in full) (I thought for sure if they played it they'd play it last but they played it second) Gordy from Frenzal played guitar for them I think.
Eat The Meek (Hefe singing the versus instead of Mike)
Some instrumental cover which was pretty good
the brews
don't call me white
All his suits are torn
murder the government (******** cheney version)
franco unamerican
seeing double at the triple rock
lori meyers (melvin singing the chicks part)
linoleum
radio
reeko
i want to be an alcoholic
Shut Up Already (at the request of Gordy from frenzal rhomb, the band had to play it from the top of their head)
Six Pack Girls
Moron Bros
Bob
You're Wrong (non-acoustic)
Whoops I Od'd (non-acoustic)
Falling in love
Hobo
monosyllabic girl
soul doubt

The sound was a bit off but apart from that it was awesome. Some girl proposed to a guy (wtf?) and noone could understand what she was saying and that wasted some time. Some guy with no teeth threw a bottle at someones head and Fat Mike said he must be from Adelaide. He said because people were spitting on him they weren't gonna play Stickin in my eye or perfect government. Do they even play Stickin in my eye live anyway?

The spitting at some punk shows is a major turn off lol. Frenzal used to encourage it though - they absolutely loved it.

Saw NOFX live about 5 or 6 years ago, at HiFi, seriously one of the best live acts you're ever likely to see - they're so tight.
