Depends on which part you drove through. Middle Footscray is a hole but the surrounding suburbs are Melbourne's best kept secret.

I drove from the oval to Highpoint. Most of it was a hole but there was this hidden gem in the middle of everything with some really nice houses. Dunno where I was though.

It's so surreal seeing so many dogs supporters around and all the stock in shops and stuff. I've always wanted to come across here permanently for the dogs, it feels like im in a different country sometimes.

Point Cook is a great area if you are going to pull up stumps in Perth only a newish suburb. I've walked down the streets at times and had people scream out the windows of cars GO DOGGIES, When people complain that the club isn't doing enough to "Win the West" they clearly don't live in the West

Eww Edgewater is full of million dollar monstrosities and dickhead yuppie w***ers. I honestly miss the junkies and dealers, they were more honest and hard-working. He's probably talking about Maidstone. Beautiful old school suburb.

Haha. That whole area can look a bit unkempt but the housing prices are amazingly expensive. Have a walk through Middle Footscray sometime...

Either design nice terraces instead of boxy Picassoesque shitheaps, or do away with the lanes and make better use of space.

I love the old weatherboard houses in Footscray and Maidstone, especially if the owners have bothered to maintain a garden.

Well if you're staying on the freeway, you'd only be going through Corio, Norlane and North Geelong, so that's understandable. Make sure to lock the doors as well.

On the off chance I make a trip into town, I also make sure the lights are green before asking locals for directions to Handbag Stadium.
