They're going to do it.

The constant comparisons with the 95-96 Bulls are needless though. Different eras. To quote Kanye, just "shut the **** up and enjoy greatness".

That was amazing.

Is it as simple as already calling Warriors vs Cavs finals?

As a Cav, no real concerns with any teams in the East. Celtics in the Conference Semis might be tricky but think we will be too good.

Warriors to sweep the Conference barring one game against Spurs in the CF.

Anyone got bets on?

GSW go 73-9 and Kobe drops 60 in his last game.

How many better nights of basketball have there been?

My answer: Probably. It's nice to think OKC and LAC could make some serious noise. Hell, you can't deny the talent of KD and Westbrook, and the Clippers have been in hot form even with Blake missing a whole lot of time, and even their bench has played well when all the starters have been rested lately. But there's been two teams having historic seasons, and as good as those two are, it hasn't been them.

Spurs of course have been almost as good. They'd probably have 70 wins themselves if Pop wasn't a fan of resting guys regularly. The warriors have for the most part have had the leg up on them in the regular season- but if there's one thing the Spurs have taught us from like 15 years of being great, it's that they're a totally different beast in the playoffs. Pretty sure they've been swept/lost the split in the regular season to teams they've gone on to kill in the playoffs. Now, whether or not Pop has gone 100% against the warriors this season is a good question. Maybe he has and it hasn't been, or won't be enough. Maybe he's been keeping some tricks up his sleeves for them in the playoffs. Also, Spurs won the 'gets to face the banged up Memphis' sweepstakes and will breeze through the first round. Gives them more rest.

But, end of the day, hard to think of a scenario where golden state isn't winning a championship- and I don't even like them. Respect and rate, of course, but do not like. Cavs are an absolute certainty in the east. How Lebron fares with a healthy team (as in, the actual big 3 playing instead of just 1 of said 3) against GS in the finals this time would be interesting. Love and Irving will provide the offence they sorely lacked in the finals, but the defence will be jeopardised. Delly of course will play a key role against them and should start...But all this is if it's truly a certainty that the finals rematch is going to happen. Hopefully it's not this predictable.

No. Spurs can still get there.

I'm a self confessed Kobe lover, but I'm sure there is plenty of you on here that can relate to this Nike ad. Don't pretend you won't miss him.
#KobeDay

Didn't like his antics earlier in his career but he's the closest thing to Jordan we're likely to see for a long while. A fearless leader, fierce competitor and an amazing talent.
Will miss him on the court.

'Hawks beat the blues, series tied 1-1

Hold serve at home and it'll be done in 5 I reckon

Watching the SF/LA baseball game, Klay Thompson's brother plays centre field for the dodgers

Jake Arrieta pitched his second no hitter for the Cubs this evening at Cincinnati's Great American Ballpark.

Final score Chicago Cubs 16 - Cincinnati Reds 0.

I'm getting scared now.

In what way? By anything actually definable or measurable, James has gone past him.

He's a leader, played a similar position and had a nice healthy dose of arrogance.
It's not about stats or championships won (although Kobe's won more for now) it's about just how straight up similar they were.
