Soon as she was announced, magnus was a gimme. They come as a package these days with the little one. I shall ask, no guarantees though. Interested to see how it pans out. I went to their show last year with Drew McIntyre, Alberto Del Rio, Mr Anderson etc. Crazy crowd and I popped big time when Gangrel's music hit (wasn't announced). It's a good night out on these big shows, keep an eye out for the next one :)
Yeah definitely will. Seems like some fun and we're pretty wrestling starved in Aus considering we were the most prosperous territory outside of New York back in the day.

We aren't. We have so much talent here in the local scene. We have half a dozen Aussies contracted to wwe/nxt. We have an aussie in AAA (one of Mexico's premier feds) and plenty of high quality Feds here with a couple of locals recently trying out for ROH also. Some Feds here r shit but there are some quality if you look for it.

It's cool to see them in an 'intimate show' here before they hit the big time. Ever since Emma went to wwe, she has been real snobby but when she wrestled here beforehand, she was great to talk to after shows etc.

Thon Maker at pick 10 is...it's kind of nuts. I remember Carlton copping flack for drafting Blain Boekhorst at what was it, 13? Thon was supposed to go 30+, particularly with the news that he may be closer to 23 than his supposed 19 years of age. If it works out Milwaukee looks great...but kind of looks like they jumped the shark with this one.

I'm talking about more high level stuff like Word Championship Wrestling back in the day. The old man reckons Andre, Hogan, Savage, Flair type legends would come down for extended periods and it was on network television.
I realize that's probably not feasible but a man can dream.

Yeah I know about the guys and girls heading overseas but it's kind of giving me an A league vibe. When AAA, which is a shadow of its former self can offer more and attract more talent you know your indies aren't going too well. Maybe I'm just cynical though.

Can confirm, Mark Cometti is huge. Ch7 was there doing a bit of filming. Probs shown tomorrow night pre-game and tie it in with the Sheamus/tigers segment. Pretty great show and they were all really cool to meet and chat with.

Can someone explain to me what's going on in the UK at the moment? Not really into politics so don't understand it.

They voted to no longer be part of the EU.
Not sure about the reasons but I'm sure it is more complex than what you'd read in the papers or online.

No real idea. Think it must be fairly bad for trade and immigration. Not really great with British economics.
Yet all my twitter is people slogging off the decision and "I don't think these people realise what they've done". Ffs these ppl live there. they've clearly made a defined choice based on their own personal interests. Deadset, too many know it all's putting their two bobs worth in imo.

Honestly think, having read a little bit about it now that we won't know the ramifications for a while. It might end up a good thing for their trade with everyone outside the EU or it might cripple them if they can't negotiate advantageous new trade agreements.
Now I'm nowhere near an economist but I'd suggest many of those decrying the decision out of hand aren't either. So really, who the **** knows?

I don't think that Hogan or Randy Savage ever worked WCW but their wikipedia page reads like a who's who of the big stars of the territory era. Killer Kowalski was a legit superstar down here & Spiros Arion was pretty beloved.

On OCW though, they seem to focus more on bringing in former WWE/TNA talent with name value. Meanwhile Melbourne City Wrestling is fantastic (seriously check out their shows when they run out of the Thornbury Theater) and was the former stomping grounds for Buddy Murphy, Emma & Peyton Royce while still using local talent for the most part. They're currently running a storyline with TMDK (the larger stable, not the tag team) which has resulted in some good matches that I haven't been able to check out.

You're right about Savage and Hogan. Far too early in their careers replace them with Flair, Dusty and Sammartino.

I very much might. Have been looking into MCW for a while. What stops me almost every time is that I'm not a huge fan of independent style wrestling. I'm pretty oldschool. But it does look like MCW doesn't fall into that many of the indy trappings.
