Yeah AD and Cousins.. they're going to be a power house
Need at least one decent wing on the roster before then though.

I like what they're doing. Surely there'll be a few wings in free agency that would love to play with that frontcourt and get the opportunity to trouble the Cavs/Warriors. Need to move Asik though, that contract is diabolical.

Thats where a carroll trade makes a lot of sense. You're inheriting a contract that is just as shit, but getting a 3 & D guy in a position of need is much better than paying another center big money, and he would basically be free. Heck, Toronto would probably give you something for taking him.

As a C's fan I feel like we should be throwing anything we can to get Jimmy Buckets across.

With the Cavs injury stricken and down on form, the time is now to strike and get top seed. IT is just Iversoning the shit out of the league right now with Horford a very versatile F or C and some solid contribution through other avenues. Throw in Butler and we could shake up the playoffs big time.

Would need Butler + another very solid fringe star to shake up the dominance that the Cavs and GSW have on the league. I just dont see Danny wanting to move that Brooklyn 17 pick.

If he wasn't willing to move it for cousins, then he definitely wouldn't move it for Butler.

Probably right, pretty tight with the picks. I think they could shake the east but barring a horror run of injuries, how can the dubs not win it?

I think this year with golden state its gonna be one of the most one-sided playoff runs we've seen in a long time if they stay healthy. Cleveland look scratchy to me....lot of niggles and injuries. Love gets injured every year.

True. It takes one hell of a special team to overcome significant injuries and still win in the finals. ;)

Not a fan of NBA trade deadline...so many moron beat reporters posting trash rumours just to get clicks. I think I'll give social media a rest until its over.

The lakers fired Mitch kupchak (the man who turned Kwame brown into pau gasol) 2 days before the trade deadline because.........

Wait until next week at least. Madness.
Jim Buss gone as well. Unusual timing, but still the right move.

I was undoubtedly a fan of Mitch Kupchak for the longest time, but he has struggled in recent years to attract free agents. I think it was time for a change, and Jim Buss is Jim Buss. The writing was well and truly on the wall when Magic Johnson was appointed as a consultant to basketball operations a few weeks back.

Maybe, but Magic is a ****ing idiot.

Magic won't be doing it on his own, he's just the face. He's not going to be the GM either, that role will be filled by someone else (maybe player agent Rob Pelinka). Magic is effectively replacing Jim Buss who has always been pretty useless.

What makes him a "******* idiot"?
His analysis has been horrendous for years. He's a running joke to most basketball followers because of his fluctuation between inanity and just being flat out wrong. There's a reason his parody Twitter account - which just constantly posts inane bullshit - is so popular. Some of his work after a really quick google...
His years in analysis saw him constantly derided because he rarely had anything of value to add. That kind of analysis is presumably pretty important in his new role.

But yeah, granted he's not doing it alone.

What makes him a "******* idiot"?
The fact that hes a ****ing idiot....

He really has lost his marbles the past 10 years. He was better off tweeting his thoughts about the Lakers without being in a position of authority where his decisions have actual long-lasting consequences for the franchise. His tweets and how he's walked into the job with that much publicity have shades of Trumpism about it.

I wouldn't be hanging magic on his inane public comments on twitter and tv. He's an insanely successful and intelligent man with a shiny, simple public persona.

If hiring rob pelinka as GM is anything to go by, I think Magic will be a beast.

Herro, Good Morning. Woke up extra early today. Feels wonderful to beat the alarm by 5 hrs.

Australia are most likely going to drop the best fast bowler in the world for todays test in India. We have the ****ing dumbest people in the country picking our test teams.

The ride those two Marsh hacks have been given is something I will never understand.
