Julius Randle has broken his leg in his debut. The Lakers injury curse continues.

Nothing has gone right since David Stern vetoed the Chris Paul trade, so I'm starting the campaign to sacrifice David Stern to the basketball gods. The way I see it, it's the only option.

Although on second thoughts, sacrificing Duh-white Howart might also work. Screw it, lets not leave it to chance and just sacrifice them both.

It wasn't Kobe's fault that Duh-white is a man-child.

I don't blame Dwight for moving on, he wasn't a good fit at the Lakers. The guy only likes the spotlight as long as he can goof around and have fun.
He thinks he's a superstar, but as soon as he feels the pressure to win, he crumbles like a house of sand.

He'll never be able to put a team on his back like Kobe, Jordan, Durant and Lebron do/did. Someone is always going to have to carry him.

I don't think he ever wanted to though. And even if he did Kobe wouldn't relinquish control. He was always set up to fall in LA. Kobe is the closest thing to Jordan we'll ever see but he's all about Kobe.
Also Durant and Lebron don't belong in that list yet.

Fair point, they aren't on a par with Kobe and MJ, but I think both Lebron and Durant have shown that they are capable of taking control of a game on a pretty regular basis. The point was more that Dwight doesn't have the same capacity to do so, and I can't see him developing it no matter where or who he plays with.

If both Kareem and Hakeem have had a go at trying to teach you what it takes to be a Hall of Fame big man without much success, chances are you won't be one.

Kobe's all about Winning. MJ was no different, ask his teammates.

David Stern vetoed trade was a joke and that's coming from me, a New Orleans fan.
Stern announced that he was to take no part in Basketball decisions when he owned the team - what does he do, takes part in a basketball decision.
Even though we did end up getting a better trade with the Clippers (at the time, players like Al-Farouq Aminu were a lot better then than now), it was a joke and he should be with LAL. Well, at least that trade made us bad enough that we got the brow

Yeah it was a bizarre move from Stern and I find it hard to believe the NBA wouldn't have known that the negotiations were going on. The fact they waited until the deal was done to shoot it down made it even more ridiculous.

For what it's worth I like New Orleans, and The Brow is gonna be a beast.

As I write this we're only one and a half games into our season, and I can already see why Bulls fans hated Boozer so much.


Based on early output Ed Davis seems to be in the top 3-4 players on the Lakers roster now, yet he's the second lowest paid. Work that one out if you can.
