Exactly 40 years ago today this naive 22 year old(23 the next week) American teacher left his home country for a year or two stay that lasted 25 years. I partially blame the Mighty Bulldogs. If only Footscray would have won the first match I saw, I might have decided to support the team that would have lost - Essendon. I always go for the underdog. So thank you, Western Bulldogs, for not allowing me to become one of them. Deo gratias.

Local footy has finally come to an end, only played half the season and only had 4 injuries along the way. At least its better than last year!

I can't believe it. I didn't watch the Cubs game this evening and Cubs pitcher Jake Arrieta pitched a no hitter against the Dodgers in LA. It was on ESPN, not on one of our local stations and I didn't think about it. Crap.

So, it turned out to be a good weekend after all. Beating Norf and a no hitter.
