The Eagles haven't stopped attacking all game, even when the game was still in the balance. That is, continuing to do what's been working well. If Mitchell was coaching, they would've tried to save the game inviting pressure from Melbourne.

It is a rebuild with a bunch of premiership players (Yeo, Darling, Ryan, McGovern, Barrass, Duggan) plus Cripps and Kelly….not exactly starting with a full rebuild. All that said, I reckon they beat us next week…

Nicks had as many experienced players back in 2020, minus the premiership stuff of course. Simpson is just a much better coach.

Nicks doesn't cop enough criticism for 2020. I don't think anyone expected us to make finals, but our list wasn't that bad that it was spoon worthy, and don't get me started on whatever that water bottle shit was. If it wasn't for the shortened quarters, we would've been on the end of a few 100+ beatings.

The playing group was clearly cooked after CM so ended up with turnover of more experience players end of 2020.

The Eagles group is probably better but let's not pretend Nicks didn't have access to an experienced core

This, we had enough quality in the side not to be that bad, Roo said it during the year.

2020 was not a hard rebuild year, we went full rebuild because of 2020.
