Sanders reminds me of the B+ version of JHF. Doesn't have the explosive brilliance and brute force of JHF but a handy player.

Agreed, already had Hinkley and Conres call the kid out. I think everyone should just let it go. No need to keep showing the footage.
Wouldn’t be surprised if we hear the kid has a mental disability and while it won’t make the action ok it will make any pile on be poor form

JUH has almost been considered a write off recently.

Completely off the radar, unlikely to return to the club or even to football in the foreseeable future.

I wonder if part of that (apart from his own personal issues) is that the Dogs have a generational key forward beginning to shine? So the urgency to help JUH and steer him back on course may not have been there.

Do things change if Darcy has suffered an ACL injury? Do they step up efforts to bring JUH back into the fold?

Interesting question as JUH now needed to boost Bulldogs forward line. You would think they would do everything possible to get him back, but sounds untenable.

Perhaps more games at the MCG where they have allowed the entry of prohibited weapons...

Doesn't sound very good, such a shame, I've loved watching him this season.

Feel for Sam Darcy, from memory his father did 2 in the same year 20 years ago that pretty much ended his career, so maybe unfortunately is slightly predisposed to it genetically.

Remember thinking at the time Luke’s were slight karma because Modra did his ACL in that 1997 preliminary final because his foot landed on top of Darcy’s boot after going for a mark.

You’d think if that was the case the parents would be chatting yo the security not him.

Just put him straight in next week and hope he turns up and WADA don’t.

Early days, but percentage rankings look interesting...

Clear bottom 4 & doubt Saints or Dons can play finals either... nor Blues as dropped top many games.
Sydney & Port on edge.

1 Suns 151 (3 game in hand)
2 Pies 137 (1)
3 Giants 135 (4)
4 Crows 132 (5)
5 Cats 131 (7 game in hand)
6 Blues 122 (13!)
7 Hawks 112 (6 game in hand)
8 Dogs 111 (8)
9 Lions 106 (2!)
10 Fremantle 105 (9)
11 Sydney 101 (14)
----
12 Power 98 (10)
13 Dons 93 (11 game in hand)
14 Saints 91 (12)
15 Roos 73 (16)
16 Dees 69 (17)
17 Tigers 66 (15)
18 Eagles 55 (18)

Both Sanders and Freijah are looking like excellent picks. The Dogs recruiting is quality but I suppose it helps if you have access to F/s picks that give you Darcy, Libba, West...

If I was a Carlton supporter I would be asking how the club let a hard nut like Kennedy go when they have such a vanilla list. They could used his toughness.

Couldn't play the three of Cripps, Hewett and Kennedy in the same team as they lacked spread and were a bit too one paced. Cripps and Hewett were ahead of him so we had to let him go. Every Blues fan loved Kennedy but reality was we already had too many inside mids and using the pick to get a young KPD in was better for our list.

Obviously doesn't look that great right now because we suck but he wouldn't have made much difference to our issues this year which has been more to do with our ability to rebound the ball and efficiency inside 50. In terms of toughness and inside ball winning our midfield is still holding up fine.

So apparently the kid that threw the banner is 16 not 13 like his grandpa said.

How does a grandpa get this mixed up or is it not really his grandson?
Or is it a case of those grandkids age so quickly is he 16 already? Feels like he was in nappies just yesterday.
If you listen to the audio carefully it appears like he almost says 16 but changes his answer to 13.

I saw that Beveridge says it’s up to the AFL and they’re in conversation with them about certain things

So what’s that about? WADA related?
I’d say dogs dogs don’t want/can’t see him returning but if the afl de registers him there’s probably salary cap relief whereas if they cut ties they’re still liable for his salary in the cap

Dogs hoping the afl can take it off their hands

Some good news for Darcy.

"SAM DARCY has miraculously avoided a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament after hyperextending his knee in the Easter Sunday night win over St Kilda at Marvel Stadium."

Remember when we wanted to sack Stengle, the AFL and AFLPA were involved in that too. The AFL is the employer, so anything like sacking or not paying wages has to involve them.

He hasn’t done anything wrong to be deregistered under AFL conduct rules. Dogs need to be able to terminate him through breach of contract, but the contract is between AFL and JUH, so AFL are key in the process.

It’s not really much different to McAsey tanking with us, it’s just that our bloke wasn’t out on the town posting his happenings to social media.
