He used the football to increase the impact. I don't think you can give low impact in that situation (independent of actual force). What would medium impact get him?

Striking, intentional, medium, high is worth two matches, but I doubt very much it would be graded as medium contact.

More likely it will be classified as "Misconduct" which attracts a fine, unless they decide to call it "Serious Misconduct" which goes straight to the tribunal. I'm guessing it will be the former and attract a fine.

It was clearly a strike but the AFL will use the fact he was holding a ball as a get out of jail card and somehow come up with an explanation where it wasn't a strike

The fact the ball was dead, out of bounds, should elevate it.

Basically a sucker punch
