I have no expectation on making the GF.

Not saying we can't. But I see this year as a free hit after being in the Finals wilderness for 7 years.

I plan on enjoying this Finals ride.

Will be happy, and do expect to finish top 4 (most likely top 2) and win a Final.

Anything else a bonus.

Not really our time yet. A lot more improvement to come.
No expectations is a good mindset. Our form is seducing and a failure here will bust a lot of hope and expectation. I tend to agree and am happy to see how it all pans out.

So Ch 7 has just said - no thanks? We would rather replays of some shit lifestyle show?

Wow. Is that unprecedented? Seems like a massive statement about being given shit games.
The AFL have genuinely screwed the draw up very badly this year. Incompetence.
They’ve probably asked for the two decent Sunday games instead.

Kayo to get Thursday and the Wednesday game.

They are only allowed to show a certain number of games per weekend. They have just picked other games that mean more.

Normally they are locked into timeslots but being a floating fixture there is some flexibility.

Ch 7 basically had the choice of showing a game on Thursday or Saturday - but not both. For most of the season, they've opted to show the Thursday night game, leaving Foxtel with a monopoly on the Saturday games. For this one round, they've chosen to go with a Saturday game instead of the Thursday night game.

Didn't realise Pav had the resumè to be a club CEO

Mr Pridham said Mr Pavlich would also bring significant business acumen to the role, having successfully co-founded talent, technology, and brand partnerships business Launchd, where he has served as its Executive Chairman, and assisted the early growth phase of technology, data, and creative services company PMY Group. He also has a Bachelor of Science Degree and a Master of Business Administration both from the University of Western Australia.

“Matthew seamlessly transitioned into business and media, working within his companies, as well as on-air roles at Fox Footy and 9 News. Demonstrating his versatility, Matthew has also administered leadership and consulting work within corporate Australia and played hosting roles during the Paris Olympics and the Australian Open.

“Together with his business pursuits in the sports and entertainment industry, Matthew has stayed involved in the game since his retirement from playing in 2016 and is widely respected across the industry.

Which makes him a perfect candidate to be Freo's CEO and replace Bell...... Why would you want to employ a Freo nuffie, lives and breathes Freo based in WA but he's Sydney 's CEO now??

It is so weird seeing him in red and white with a Swans logo.

On the Geelong game and our game scheduling. It's not that deep.

The most likely scenario is it was fixtured this way to allow us ample time to make it to the airport to fly back that evening. Heck, we probably even requested that.

A 4:15pm Melbourne game is acheivable still but makes it touch and go.

The long shot hypothetical that they want Geelong to know how much % they need when they may not even be on equal points as us is classic persecution complex VFL tin foil hat stuff. It's not that deep.
Surely it wouldn’t matter going into a bye?

WC fans are delighted that they wont have to listen to him in Perth media or commentating their games next year

Even I'm happy he won't be doing games, he is shit at special comments particularly if a WA side is Playing, I don't blame West Coast fans for rejoicing

Someone on here commented on Garry Lyon being so unusually complimentary towards us last Friday night.
Apparently had a serious back spasm just before the game the other night and our doctor helped him out.

It’s wonderful news 😆 We do have the “local” commentary option for most of our home games now as of this season, but it is on Channel 7 (with ads etc.). So there is an alternative. But will be great not to have to listen to him on Fox.

I’m not sure as to how qualified he is to be a CEO, but given the insular nature of the AFL industry, nothing surprises anymore.

Either way, you end up with both the Essendon & Gold Coast games on either Thurs or Fri.
There are 2 game scheduled on Friday so why couldn't they be both Dons & Suns to make it fair.

Such a bullshit kick. He made an absolute meal of it and somehow it righted itself and drifted back like it was meant to be. Not a soul in Adelaide Oval thought it was going through in the first .5 seconds after it left the boot. None of Dawson's kicks had ever gone right to left before, and none have since. Even watching it again now it never looks like it has enough time to break back. Must've snuck through by millimetres.

What an amazing moment. Made up for the Monfries bounce imo.
I've watched that kick 100 times and I still think it's going to hit the post.

Can't blame them really. Not their fault the AFL keep dishing up rubbish no-one wants.
