Jarrod Walsh comedian?????
Personally, I think any "comedian" who punches down on people (based on their physical attributes) isn't so much a comedian, more like a bully.

If I were him, id be going to the club that brought the comedian in and asking what they intend to do about it, but he won't.
You'd be better off for it. I swore it off years ago.
I got the shits with it after realising just how much of fits into a few categories:
- Rage bait over nothing
- Masturbatory circle jerks: Show A puts forward a dumb hypothetical, then for the next 4 days Shows B through Z all debate how ridiculous the hypothetical is that had no actual basis to start with.
- Knee jerk reactions: Team wins, "They're a flag chance, this mob!". 6 days later they lose, "They're pretenders, they don't have what it takes."
- Deliberate shit takes to serve the first 2 points above
These days I might consume a segment or two on Youtube but only if it has value. I actually watch Razor Ray's 360 segment each week when they upload it to Youtube because it's actually educational and informative. That one I'd recommend checking out purely to get an idea of what umpires are actually being told as opposed to what the commentators think the rules are.
Like I said... if they punch down, they aren't comedians anymore, they are bullys. I'm offended by bullies - aren't you? And if not, why not?Why do people insist on getting offended by things comedians say?
The whole term "punch down" is ridiculous though. Can a fat comedian do jokes about fat people? But not skinny comedians?Like I said... if they punch down, they aren't comedians anymore, they are bullys. I'm offended by bullies - aren't you? And if not, why not?
I thought the media wanted a night time grand final to create a starting time they believe more favourable overseas audiencesThe only sections on the mainstream channels I watch these days are the ones where coaches tactically analyze games. The rest is pointless garbage with no value
The best media are the ones that aren't AFL accredited like a lot of the independent podcasts, which IMO sit much closer to fan opinions on the game and teams
The biggest thing that irritated me recently is the AFL accredited media reaction over the grand final start time, claiming it's bad for ratings or something. This is despite the overwhelming majority of fans consistently voting the 2.30pm start time as what they want. Either they are so disconnected from reality they just simply have horribly out of touch opinions, or they are farming ragebait.

The America's would still be lousy. A night time start at 7:00pm would be 5:00am in NY (vs 12:30am now) to 2:00am kick off in LA (vs 10:30pm now)
Everywhere east of London would be a 10:00am or later in the day
YesIf that's their reason it's even more ridiculous. Go against the will of the actual existing fans just to maybe appease overseas broadcasters?
So this lady doesn't like dudes that don't show up.... sounds like this isn't the first time she picked a dude that didn't show up...

No it isn't. Nobody should make fun of someone else's physical attributes. Take the piss out of yourself... that's what most of the clever ones do. But the minute you target someone else, particularly those unable to respond for themselves or worse - have no control over the physical attribute the person is making fun of - makes you look pathetic and weak and shows you have very little ability to make people laugh without picking on others. The whole term "punch down" is ridiculous though. Mmm .. didn't realise there was that much of a differenceNo
Its to capture the different advertising rates night time tv attracts
Nope nope nope - if he has mental health then we cant criticiseCan anyone remember a thing with him a few years ago? I know it was him but I can't remember the details for the life of me.
I feel like maybe he said some things about Crows fans that crossed the line of banter and then for an apology he put out a video playing the victim because of mental health? Can't find any record of it but I'm sure it happened.
People can make whatever jokes they like. But the reality is, most people are going to find your jokes less funny, and possibly even kind of gross, if they think you're punching down. The whole term "punch down" is ridiculous though.
