What about all those that work in hospitality on a Saturday night? You can never find a time that works for everyone.Probably all those that work in the retail industry.
AFL is a dinosaur when it comes to this stuff.
You were right the first time, no timeslot will work for everyone. What about all those that work in hospitality on a Saturday night? You can never find a time that works for everyone.
. Afternoon timeslot is the best time for allowing the game to be accessible for everyone.

So he somewhat bullied kids during a quarter time break, let them compete for something and made them lose. Even though he'd apparently checked with the parents before hand, and had promised them they'd still get a voucher, he still thought that the public bullying of Crow fan kids would be funny (and I guess for Port fans it probably was).
So the apology wasn't an apology at all, it was "No, you don't know, it's all fine. The bullying was just for show. It's ok to humiliate them if I still give them the voucher."
Then talks shit about the keyboard warriors who called him out on it (not knowing he had apparently okayed it).
And then proceeds to go on a rant about how everyone should "be nice" to each other, all while refusing to even mention the Adelaide Crows by name, consistently calling them "the other South Australian team" or similar.
He's a petty jerk who champions "be nice" when it suits, but also seems happy to have his public persona being to make fun of others.

The problem isn't the number of people watching the game, which I doubt would change significantly regardless of whether it's an afternoon/evening/night game. The problem is that because the game is outside of prime time the ratings they get don't count towards the weekly or end-of-year ratings wins. Are you saying it would have exactly the same ratings?
Again, I think fans have shown their feelings about afternoon games.
Are there many other examples of sporting leagues having their peak event in the middle of the afternoon?

He escaped before the campAnd unlike many others, didn't pot us on the way out or afterwards. Has always spoken highly of his time here.
Absolute gun from day dot and I wish he played his whole career here. I will always have a ton of respect for him.
He was like this before he became their ground announcer, he's a petty child.Like all Port supporters he's a flog that has learnt to play the victim anytime he is called out for his behaviour.
No surprise really.
Not defending Nicks, but those three coaches are all living off past achievements and reputation, have not set the world on fire in recent times.Wow.
So Nicks a better coach than Clarkson, Beverige, Goodwin? Thats 5 flags vs 0 finals appearances.
Say no more.

I don't rate Bevo. Biggest right time right place coach in history.
If Nicks got an umpiring run like the 16 Bulldogs I reckon he'd give a flag a shake too.
Steady on fella......thats some mental gymnastics thereI don't rate Bevo. Biggest right time right place coach in history.

"I must admit, his magnet was really close this week. I didn't tell him, but now it's going to be really hard to keep him out," McRae said after the 34-point win over St Kilda.
"I'm rapt for him: a 19-year-old kid playing VFL, kicking a goal after the siren. We'll celebrate that first thing Monday morning when we get the team in. He looks like he's going to be hard to leave out next week.”
"At some stage, I'd like to get Charlie and Oscar, and these guys, opportunities," McRae told reporters at a press conference last Thursday when asked about rewarding West, Steene and DeMattia.
"I think it would be good for us and good for them. I think it would make us look a bit different and have a different type of energy. This is a long year, there are 10 games to go, you've got to get that balance right. I want to keep growing."
The Pies rest players during the season, so the last round won't be any different...It will be interesting to see what Collingwood do in our R23 game (second last of the season) regarding resting players.
They will have probably top spot wrapped up and definitely top 2.

Imagine having a coach that actually speaks positively about young players not currently in the team.
Talking about Charlie West / Harry DeMattia:

The Bulldogs are more stacked than Sydney Sweeney as well, a good coach would have won more than one flag in the past 10yrs with that squad.I don't rate Bevo. Biggest right time right place coach in history.

So stacked.... but awful at the same time, like Sydney Sweeney ??The Bulldogs are more stacked than Sydney Sweeney as well, a good coach would have won more than one flag in the past 10yrs with that squad.
He's not funny, but what IS funny is you subverting your own world view to have a crack at me.It’s offensive that someone earned $ for that level ‘humour’. But it’s not surprising that you’d be supportive of that effort.
