Yeah well I've been following the case because I subscribe to Geelong Advertiser and the female involved was found to have told absolute lies which both the Police and the defence lawyers shot numerous holes in and worse still she then forced her male friend to support the lies she had concocted. Why do you think the prosecution dropped the case like a hot potato.
Top criminal barrister Dermot Dann, KC, appearing in court on Tuesday for Bruhn, said his client had been “to hell and back”, declaring “this case represented a horrible stain on the criminal justice system”.
“It was a case where the evidence in the early stages of the committal revealed that when it came to these allegations of rape and sexual assault, the complainant had admitted that she had lied,” Mr Dann said.
“It was a case where another prosecution witness admitted in his evidence that he told lies to police and told lies in the court.

The fact that VicPol are paying the 2 accused men's full costs tells you all you need to know....I'm guessing that would be a quite sizeable amount.
While VicPol should be taking care of the criminal side (perverting the course of justice), he would also appear to have a very strong civil case against them given the impact that their lies have had on his life and career.

That explains why it's Port and and not the Crows, but why is he NGA eligible anyway?
Why would NGA eligibility be a thing for a kid whose dad played AFL and has come through the SANFL juniors system?
Does being indigenous qualify you for NGA?
Yeah, and I think he only found out last year that there was a link back on his mothers side somewhere

It's Zemes Pilot in Port's NGA that looks even more exciting for me.
The AFL have changed the rules now so academy players aren't freebies any more, I'm not that fussed about it other than the Northern states who seem to get a pile of elite talent year after year, if a clubs like Port Melbourne Freo get a bit of good luck and get a great kid, then it's good for the game, especially now you have to pay fairly for them. Probably should limit it to one per club per year on the main list but multiple rookie options.

It wasn't super clear because they said 'going back to the old matching system' which didn't allow SA/WA Metro matching, but obviously they have without clearly saying so.Already changed

Well I suppose you have got to make up for losing Butters next year.
There is a limit to how long the AFL can continue to hand out free money to bankrupt corporations. Clearly they are happy to do it for 30 years but 45 years might be a stretch.
