Truck is safe as houses. Essendon exceeded expectations when they were widely tipped to be challenging for the spoon. The media expectations on them pre-season was ridiculous, especially those that had them top 4. Realistically, they are still a couple of years off, progression isn't always linear.

We over-reached. The penalty far outweighed the crime. As it did with Vince and his boxers and Tex and that beer with his mates. And the Brad Crouch penalty that the club handed to the AFL to make sure that his suspension followed him to St Kilda. If we'd been reasonable then we could have kept him and not had to blow pick 30 on a lesser version. We could have had Stengle and pick 30 to spend.
