My reading of the article was that it was a series of things over the years, but this last incident came at a point when Cyril was finally ready to take action.
It feels very "straw that broke the camel's back", as they talked about a bunch of other earlier incidents and wanting to see change happen that was ignored.

I must be living under a rock but am I reading Eddie had issues with the AFC regarding racial abuse. I can not imagine anyone especially from the Crows being being negative to Eddie.
In an interview with The Age, Rioli - alongside wife Shannyn - spoke out about his fractured relationship with his former club, and how the final few years leading up to his shock retirement were overshadowed by issues off the field, including several alleged racist incidents.

I’m the first one to laugh at Ken, but not sure he can do much with 25 secs left. If it was a similar picture with 1:20 to go, fair enough.

This is why GWS can't hang on to it's young elite talent they don't play them, if they're Vic boys they know they'd be getting games at most Vic Clubs.
They probably would have been better off drafting rachele.
