AFL control Port Finance's on two fronts,Agreed. It will be driven in part by other clubs looking to change coaches, and therefore the pressure is on to make sure you get the one you want before someone else does. Otherwise you’ll be left with the last man standing - again.
Although this year it’s complicated by not wanting to go too early because you want to see if Clarko will be available later in the year
There is no doubt a few clubs, including Port, are having these conversations behind closed doors. The game is afoot!

Lade not a bad option.AFL control Port Finance's on two fronts,
Firstly they hold Port's Licence, and Port are a long way off paying that off,
Secondly, they sign up for the AFL covid Loan Lot of little rules came with that Loan.
Port would struggle to get the AFL to agree with a huge Payout to Hinkley, and if the AFL agree to that, I doubt they would agree to pay top dollar for a replacement like Clarkson, Especially when the AFL if the rumours are true want Clackson elsewhere. Port would only get approval for a low-cost newbie
You never know they may end up with a favourite son who use to be a ruckman. And that did not turn out too good the last time.
A lot of players don't. MadnessCameron doesn’t seem to wear a mouth guard
i Remember when People said the same thing about Primus.
For throwing his arms up because it's apparently "lack of respect".
It wasn’t even him it was two players in the middle of the ground that watched the replay and saw what everyone else did.For throwing his arms up because it's apparently "lack of respect".
Bless them, poor deluded crittersFrom the Port board….
“Once he's gone, we should play our first game after his departure in the prison bars, to celebrate the start of a new era”…..
I don’t understand how dreaming of wearing the jumper of your reserves team would define a new era, but anyway…
Are you serious? It all happens at a certain cafeNo one would ever recognise Rockliff walking down the street
Probably still believes in Santa too....Bless them, poor deluded critters

Will not happenIf umpires want to be respected and want to pay frees against for abuse, they need to clamp down on players abusing the rules.
Staging should be a 1 week suspension minimum. You dive, you flop, you are done.
Suspensions for ducking, diving, dropping the knees or shrugging tackles. Any contact that deliberately draws a high free, you're done.
Dropping the ball in a tackle should always be HTB and dropping it just before being tackled play on. Not holding the man.If umpires want to be respected and want to pay frees against for abuse, they need to clamp down on players abusing the rules.
