Exact same punishment as a bump to the body of a player with the ball, who suffered no injury.

yeah but he said he didn't mean it and was shocked he collected the head of the collingwood player...how could the tribunal not forgive and forget...I am absolutely sure in every possible way that if it was our player that did the transgressing, we would be afforded the same benefit of the doubt by the tribunal..oh wait..

I disagree. There are always surprise teams who come from nowhere.

Its a damn shame our game vs Collingwood next week is shaping up as easily the best game of the week and it is currently in the worst time slot.

The Saturday night games are West Coast vs Carlton and Hawthorn vs Doggies. Disgusting.

It all depends on your situation, you look for time slots, given you can only watch on tv, I like to plan ahead for for flights and things I need to work around for my business.

I think JHF will be an absolute gun, but the 3 we got with those picks are very good, in hindsight, was clearly better that North did turn us down.

I'm guessing this has been said before, but:
Dawson > than JHF
Dawson and Rachele combined are much >> than JHF
BUT
Dawson and Rachele and Rankine!! are so much >>> than JHF as to make NM's rejection of our offer the best knockback that AFC have ever received.

I'm not really into sticking up for st kilda players but the Pies player (Murphy?) falls and clearly he is going for the chest region and due to the slip from Murphy gets him high. Wasn't like it was a clear hit that concussed him either, I was watching and was shocked to hear he was concussed.

We should be reducing concussions but to me this was 100% an accident and 3 weeks is too much. The AFL need to work out if they are punishing the action or the injury, it has always been the injury which is a mistake and they are now doing it correctly as by punishing the action they will reduce the amount of sling tackles, high bumps etc which will reduce injuries to players.

This one is a bump or potentially a strike to the body which due to other circumstances gets the player high. Is the intent there? No. Is the force there? I would say thats questionable (especially given the recent McCartin concussion and Murphy's concussion history)

I would've thought 1-2 weeks was more appropriate, hardly a thug move that deserves 3 weeks

I honestly reckon both Nick Daicos and Josh Rachele will be better players than JHF.

Nick Daicos already is.

And Josh Rachele is on an equal footing with JHF right now.. but I just think Josh has a hell of a lot more development left in him than JHF..

But Nick Daicos… faaark.. now that lad can play football.

Imagine having Peter Daicos as footy Coach/mentor all your life!

And Josh Rachele is on an equal footing with JHF right now.. but I just think Josh has a hell of a lot more development left in him than JHF.

I'm not as convinced about Rachele as most in here. Not sure why; maybe a bit nervous about the go-home factor.

Looks like a very strong draft overall atm. Most of the top 40 have already shown something at AFL level.
