It's going to be interesting to see if building a decent facility at Thebarton has any impact on luring any players over
Surely it will. I’ve no doubt that being stuck at West Lakes for as long as we have has had a negative impact on the clubs ability to retain and lure players here. Annoys me we’ve had next to no significant updates about the new HQ since those NIMBYs picketed outside of ****ing CMI Toyota

Thinking of Ben Marsh I think

The 3rd game could be played in a neutral venue.
The best and only likely solution for Non-Vic teams is that the AFL must schedule all H&A games in Victoria at the G.

Let all non-Vic sides play some shit hole in the country or at the Dome.

Keating played in 1998 GF, Sampson and Jameson were in the 1997 GF.

From memory in the 1998 GF, Ellen spent most of his time on the interchange bench with Keating.
Ah 98. Sorry. Are you sure? Marsh played 98?

My biggest fear is we make it to the big dance in the next few years and our opponent is Carlton.

Not concerned with either Saints or North as neither will get there in the near future.
We didn't lose to Richmond because of some fairy tale the AFL concocted to get Richmond a flag.

The main reason we lost was Richmond taking away our main weapon, the forward line. Rance and Houli killed us.

Once that dried up, our midfield was not the quality of Richmond. Our guys put up pretty midfield stats. But no hurt factor like Dusty.

Richmond were better than us.

And yes, their home ground. We know that. And with 10 sides out of 18 in Victoria, it is likely any GF opponent will be Victorian. It is the make up of the league.

No, I wasn’t referring to fairytales, more concerned with the pro-Carlton crowd just like a pro-Collingwood crowd.

The other thing from 2017 was losing Smith in Qualifying Final and also the loss McGovern who was important to our forward structure. Otten was way too slow unfortunately.

There's no victorian bias, it's just the entire structure of the league is biased towards victorians. Got it.

Anyone watching the NRL GF. The call just on half time is how a video review should happen. If the rugby people can work out something like this call, then how did the AFL fail us against Sydney on a clearer call..
