After listening to Chris Davies this morning I am not sure why they would bring in Soldo and Sweet. Secondly I don't know why both players would come in when the reason for them leaving is to be the number 1 ruckman.

I guess they both come in and compete against each other for the spot.

Trade Week wins.

Maybe they count in the 3 flags in 5 years strategy.

Yep it seems weird. I believe they secured Sweet but then found out a better player is available and can’t reneg on Sweet so have gone for both

Obviously Sweet agreed on the understanding he'd be the #1 RUCK .....now Port have shorted him, and the Sweet trade may now not progress



How funny would it be if PORT ended up missing both ...because they were too smart by half

Probably reserving the right to make a special exception as they love to do, if a Victorian club wants to do it.

It happened last year too with Ratugolea and Jack Graham. They had all their eggs in Dunkley's basket and when that fell through they jumped onto JHF as a last minute scramble and because they had to pretty much sell the farm to get it over the line they had nothing to trade for Esav and Graham.

It seems like they go into the trade period with the tacitc of just throwing everything at anyone who is available and see what sticks.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if Soldo comes up that they just say too bad to Jordan Sweet like they did with Gorringe etc

I’d laugh is an Eagles player pulls out of a SANFL final so he doesn’t get injured and miss being drafted
