free kicks for out of bounds on the full are soft too. it's not really the best criteria
Umpires can do no wrong according to you

sure they can. the hurley incident last week for example. you're hardly one to speak from the opposite point of view anyway. you seem to actually take note of umpire's names just to call them terrible. and to critique that particular free kick is pretty bewildering because there'll be 100 incidents this week that are worth more discussion. it was a clear hold and block.

North players shoulder gives out, the bloke still manages to work and toe poke the ball away from a Geelong player who is about to get it, ump pays deliberate out of bounds...Bullshit.

Without turning this thread into one about umpiring, it was surely the right call. His sole intent was to put it OOB. It's unfortunate he was injured, but the umpire must pay it regardless of that.

For anyone that watches super Rugby.. Folau just scored his 10th try of the season to equal the Waratah's season record.. and it is fantastic to see him doing what he does best..

I only hope that Hunt does the right thing and goes back and dominates the sport he is naturally gifted at..

I still feel sadness that we were so keen to dominate the northern markets we put an insane amount of money in front of these guys to become glorified mascots.. yes they took the money.. but so would most of us presented with a 150% increase in pay..

I think it's pretty much guaranteed now that Hunt will go back to rugby. And to be honest, I reckon he did a good job.

Folau though...

Yeah I also feel bad for millionaires under thirty.

No doubt Hunt was able to make a better go of it (and actually seemed to want to play) than Folau.. but then again both should not have bothered..

Both are extreme athlete's that were in the peak of their games.. watching Folau is amazing but why you would ever think he is suited to AFL is beyond me.. hasn't got great hands, is an average mark at best (especially for a FullBack) and has no kicking game...

Varcoe, please do something courageous. So uninspired.

Love AFL 360 - There is great chemistry between Robbo and Gerardo - Wish it was five days per week.

Something is wrong with Geelong - There record is fine but they are not overly concerning - I am not overly impressed with their defence.

He was trying to gain some ground but it skewed off the top of his boot - it's clear in the slow-mo at least. Not that he would've been devastated that it crossed the boundary, of course.

I was just impressed that he had the presence of mind to go after it in the first place. :thumbsu:

Teams can get a run-on against them all too easily.

Everybody boos Thomas

A mate was around at my place with me watching the game last night. He is fairly new to AFL, not having taken much of an interest in it til he met me. In the first quarter when Thomas had the ball I said to my mate, "i can't stand that little runt". He asked why not. I said because he ducks and dives and plays for frees. Nek minnit he does exactly that. My mate just says, "I see what you mean".

Norf's current list has no shot at a flag absolutely no chance.
And with how professional & diverse the league now is I'd go as far to say that it's likely that no pissy small fry "melb club" will pinch a flag ever again.
