2006 Rd 15. Can see why we don't play them there, wouldn't get a crowd to warrant the extra capacityWhen was the last time we played the Saints at the G?

Yeh but Collingwood's home ground is the MCG, ours isn'tCollingwood do though.
Round 15 2006 when we were abysmal and just went down (33k). I think we were a few kicks ahead at one stage. Previous to that was in 1999 (63k went). When was the last time we played the Saints at the G?

Apparently it's an absolute ripper of a deal financially though!True didn't we sign like a 25 year contract at Etihad? what a mistake that was.
Well there you have it folks, problem solved! The club should tell the AFL we no longer want to play home games at Etihad and get them to buy out the rest of the contract.
Some believe it is hampering our membership growth, due to the fact that Etihad has half the capacity of the'G.Obviously it's not important to me, but I don't see a particular need to play 8 home games a year at the MCG or whatever. 3-4 home games against 3-4 big Melbourne clubs and all the interstate clubs/smaller Melbourne clubs at the dome seems to work perfectly fine. The only time I see it as a problem is when we play Hawthorn at the Dome but thankfully that hasn't happened this season. Obviously some people see it as "we're a big team so our home game should be the G", but all the big teams want their home ground to be the MCG and you've got Melbourne as well who have a stronger case when any team. You can't fit them all in.
Who's St. Kilda's captain tonight? Steven?
YepPretty sure it's Armitage.
Is that from the same think tank that brought us "what's to stop the players just turning up anyway if they're banned"?The club should tell the AFL we no longer want to play home games at Etihad and get them to buy out the rest of the contract.
