I mean, he wasn't a TOTALLY terrible player. I guess.....

He was a much better player prior to getting knocked out every other week. I recall very early days I thought he was going to be better than Riewoldt as he made that initial transition to AFL better. Needless to say it wasn't long before Riewoldt left him in his wake.

There were interstate teams in that comp aswell wasn't there? I still remember the song for the sterling cup. I assume that was later.

Yeah, usually one or two from WA/SA. Sterling cup was '84, may have been earlier but was definitely in by 84.

Yup. He was a very good footballer but head knocks got the better of him. We had a player in the late 80s, Michael Mitchell, a very fast lightly built indigenous on baller. He won goal and mark of the year in the same year. He suffered the same fate as kozi did, one too many head knocks finished his career.

Yep, interstate clubs as well. It was a Foxtel Cup of sorts, and the first silverware our club had won since 1965 so it was pretty well appreciated.

I only know this from videos like Tim Watson, Bomber From The Bush and the like, I didn't follow footy closely nor follow Essendon until 1983.

I was there, wrapped up in a sleeping bag and still ****ing freezing.

Justin Koschitzke.

Justin ******* Koschitzke won one.

As rare as those occasions were, when he was on, he was unstoppable.

Overall I think the relatively short history of the Rising Star has shown that winners are a better than even chance of becoming a very good, if not great player. Hogan would appear to be no exception.

stuffed if I know.

On closer inspection he has and he was only still training 'just in case'.

Stiff break, he's almost been at Jason Winderlich level fragility over the years

My goodness, listening to Richmond fans on 3BAfm in Ballarat talking to Plough and Tony about 'everfin goin awrite dis yeer.' Three callers, three muppetts.
I don't think I've ever brought myself closer to backing Norf. No matter what happens, sunday will be delicious.

They better not get one.

They are in their predicament through no fault but their own. They have had 3 number 1 draft picks and have played/won finals since our last finals win.

If the AFL grants it then it is setting a god awful precedence, but I am extremely confident that Carlton are seeing this as a free hit and worth a try without really expecting to get one.
