Not important
"Is Trent Cotchin a really Churchill type, or is he perhaps more of a Chamberlain? Orrrr is he really more of a Stanley Baldwin type?"
I got a cold look of 'What the ****?' and then the follow up question 'What the ****?' - vis a vis no idea.

I'm going to go with more of a John Major.

Stephenson's an interesting one, Geelong wanted to rookie him for a while but he had a decent job and a young family so held out for a senior gig.

I don't understand the need for it.

There is nothing to suggest that viewership is compromised in anyway by the game being played in the traditional time slot.

What is the only reason for it? To have some pretty pyrotechnics during the half time entertainment and at the end to celebrate the victor?

Frankly, I don't understand why people even bother to watch the half time entertainment.
Isn't that when everyone either goes for a kick, bathroom break or to cook more food?

No matter where I watch the grand final, I never ever watch the half time stuff.

I thought half-time of the GF was always for a half-cut kick-to-kick with your mates.

Is it just me, or are North easily the most boring team in the comp. name a star they have... Goldstein, then who? Boomer? Ha.

I can think of literally any other team and immediately think of at last 3-5 players I'd love at Essendon.

A couple of lesser team examples - Brisbane - Beams, Shache, Hipwood, Hanley, Rockliff

Richmond - Riewoldt, Martin, Rance, Cotchin.

GC - Lynch, Gaz, Prestia, JOM, Martin.

North- Goldstein.... Ziebell, that's it!

Who are their attractive players?
richmond and north. same issue.
Both have an inside bull who is good, but really not great (Ziebell/Martin)
Overly reliant on old rucks (Goldy/Maric)
Garbage captains (Swallow/Cotchin)
Their best players are tall defenders (Tarrant/Rance)
And recruit bland kids and meh senior players.
oh, and tasmanian FF's (Brown/Riewoldt)

Offered so much hope to their supporters and delivered so little return

hahahaha oh yeah. how very memorable that was.

remember when the MCG/the afl was doing that weird thing when they'd have bands and singers performing on a stage in the stands as part of the entertainment, all season long. in fact i barely remember the details, i could just be making it up.

May well have been the same season. Frequently turned it up to 11 so you had no choice but to listen. Great initiative.

This actually looks pretty decent have two magpies "side by side" is a nice touch. Wonder when we will be updating ours? View attachment 291879
The centre of the logo looks like the teeth of a Collingwood person when they smile. As such it's a fair effort, 8/10.
