Takes a mark. elbow to face

"no no no that's ok"
I'm not sure what he meant by that. I was fine with it just because I felt he got in just in time, that it wasn't enough late enough for it to be 50, although it was very tight, but I think he may have felt it was just a clash of heads which is...also tight

That ruck free kick just more proof that noone knows the rules any more
you know it's bad when the ch7 commentators think it's a bogus free

wasn't an elbow, it was the point of the shoulder. After he stopped going for the ball and went the bump

He jumped, turned slightly and hit him.

Its 50.

**** off, Daniel. Far too clever, hopefully Dixon repays the favor.

this was a thing as far back as the Collingwood teams in 09/10. i'm surprised it's not really been tackled

Yep, James Brayshaw has been an advocate of a rule being implemented that allows the man on the mark to be apart of the "protected zone" so he at least has a legitimate chance of making a meaningful impact on the kicker rather than be forced to become a witches hat which is happening in almost every man on the mark contest.

Mark hadn't been paid yet. Makes it hard to give a 50 for it. That's why he got in just in time
After watching the replay I agree. He was in motion before the mark had been taken. Still got him high, but either free kick or mark. Paid the mark so I am happy for no 50 in that situation.

I'm for that rule, but isn't the man on the mark pretty much supposed to be a witches hat, ie make it 17on17 over the rest of the field once you take out the kicker and man on the mark.

There to stop his opponent gaining an extra few metres pretty much. Which in this day and age means everything with rolling zones
