I've got a couple of friends in Canberra that go for them, So that's 3 lol.

But there's been a lot of good teams through out time that have under performed and not won anywhere near the flags they should have.

I can't stand GWS but I think it will work as a franchise because of the Proximity to the Riverina and that they play in Canberra - both traditionaly strong AFL areas that haven't had access to AFL locally (League set up ages ago in Canberra, followed by Union).


If it was just about Western Sydney then id be far less confident.

The real problems are further North IMO.

Everyone been raving about them this year. They play some pretty (for lack of a better word) football that makes you go wow. But they havnt shown the unstoppable juggernaut form that people keep talking about them.

Adelaide is pretty much the form i thought giants would be in this year.

In saying that im a big fan of some of the play the Giants produce. Move the ball around a contest like a pinball and then spread.
Probably my favourite teams to wtach when they really hit top gear. The issue is they arent hitting it for long.

Definitely rate the Giants.. were pretty much 2 down for a half, then wilson came back on. No greene, still have whitfield to come back in. They will be around the mark. Top 4 finish for sure

Saints played a high intensity game for 4 quarters and finished strongly. Good on them.
