There's most certainly a point in time when players lose faith in a coach and start playing against him. It's never an attempt to lose, but it's a hope that if they do lose then the coach will be replaced. I'm fairly confident that some of the Magpies team have passed that point, including Scott Pendlebury.

I'm not surprised when underdogs win these days. There's really not much between any of the sides. The AFL wanted equalization and unfortunately the result is that there are no genuine blockbusters and no genuine upsets anymore.

The only win I rated of theirs in the finals was WC. Both Hawks and Swans have fallen of a cliff and GWS would have probably won if Steve Johnson was playing.
