One game where I left early in the third quarter. And not ashamed about it.

I was in a bus full of lions supporters absolutely giving it to me the whole way home....

Edit: I wanted to leave but I there with my lions supporting father for his first live afl game. He had a wonderful time..

I flew over for that game. So disappointing, was sure we would smash them.

I hate this club.

I should let my child go for a local side but if I have to suffer, so should they.

Me too, it was my Nan's last live game. She really struggled to get to her seat that day, thanks to her crook hip.

Usually I'd have been wrought with rage, but Nan was just so happy to be out and about with her Grandson it really tempered my fury. Now it'll always be a special day for me, any other time that'd be a day I'd purposefully forget...⁸

Sure did. Aside from off field issues he is no good on the field; 14 goals from 20 games as quoted in the article. I don’t remember seeing him doing anything decent.

Ah, that’s a shame. He’s young, hopefully he can pull it together and not throw his talent away. Obviously footy can offer a great way for our indigenous kids to not only make coin playing it, but develop great opportunities through their time in the game. Sure, he’s an Eagle and I despise them with every fibre of my being. But as a lad with the ability to provide influence and example to other blackfellas, I hope for his success, both on and off of the field. Just not in the derbies!

I too think there would be merit, just as there has been for most of us at some stage of our life, to consider the impact of the company that he’s keeping. To paraphrase a Pavement lyric: “It takes centuries to build, seconds to fall.”

Too many examples, sadly, of Indigenous men throwing it all away, due to off-field drama.

Brisbane smashed us at Optus in 2018 too.

Pretty much woke Brisbane up to the fact that they’re an underrated and elite team. Always seem to be against Fremantle, those games.
