Yeah it's been a weird few days on the main board. I threatened to track someone down and steal their dog the other day and the post got deleted for "harassment".

Gen Z is so soft.

I don't like the tone of your post. Time for retribution. I'm grew up in Nerang you know, making shivs was a school subject.

Luckily for you though I live in Melbourne now & can't travel further than 10km from my home.

For now.

Are you following curfew kiddo?

Well I aint protesting on the west gate bridge that's for sure lol.

I follow curfew & lockdown. I'd rather be part of the solution than the problem.

It's pretty much normal life for a hermit anyhoo ;)

Edit: Looking forward to Oct 26 (ish) though, when I can get out & ride some single trail.

He better be....I want out of this hell and it won't happen while some do their own thing, bugger everyone else!

...and even then its only going to be lifted to 25klm. Absolutely not one restriction lifted benefits either Mr MM or me. Will be lucky to see our families at all by xmas.

;) love ya BB. We're in this together, right? That's what we're told by the Chairman anyway.:smilev1:

p.s I would've driven straight through the scum given the chance!

Not sure where this fits but last night on Fox they replayed Leigh Matthews' Open Mike episode. Dont have the time to write it out now but fascinating stuff, covers all of his career and the Lions were just about 15 mins at the end of an hour long program but the whole thing is great.

This one?

This one?

Thats it. He is one of the rare old guys who isn't really nostalgic about the past I think.
My favourites are, just while I'm here
- Capper and Jacko (from an entertainment perspective)
- Richie Vandenberg (captain of Hawthorn during the "line in the sand" game, craziest game of footy I've ever seen I reckon)
- Chris Mew (CHB Hawthorn team of the century, great insight into what footy was like back then)
- Joffa (believe it or not, brilliant episode)

Vossy may have come full circle....grew up barracking for Carlton.
Now to see if he unleashes his power play and recruits Fevola.

Will be a bit bizarre if it ends up being McRae & Leppa running Collingwood and Voss & Power (and maybe Lappin) running Carlton. I'm bold enough to admit that I might develop the smallest of soft spots for them for those reasons. It won't last long, but would particularly love to see Vossy get some success.

Must be a bit flat to get the job after getting chosen over Clarkson, even in a last minute ditch attempt.

Good luck Vossy, you can't polish a turd but give it a red hot go
Although, I have heard that last time Carlton were chasing a Coach (2 years ago).
Vossy was the number one candidate then, until the Teague Train gathered momentum and he pulled out of the race as a result of that.
But from what I heard the Board wanted Voss only the players and members stood up and basically demanded Teague.

Given the rough treatment Voss got from the Lions board and admin I was hoping the next time he got the chance at a top job he'd get better support from the club. But to see how Carlton has treated their past few coaches and the club's unrealistic success expectations vs the reality of their playing list... I fear he has ended up in the exact same position again.

I do hope I'm wrong on that one.

We introverts are loving this lockdown situation, less people to deal with is amazing!

Nope not me.

Love Vossy as a Lions legend but hope Carlton continue to fester and rot.

I find it interesting the different timelines at play. Honestly, I think Vossy has done brilliantly, and Carlton is a solid job for the next few years.

We had Lethal when we were peaking, then Vossy on the way down, Leppa to turn a corner, and Fages to take us up.
Carlton had Malthouse on the way down, Bolton at the bottom, Teague to turn a corner and actually get some wins... Vossy should get a few good years.

A better game plan, and they already have some decent cattle... Blues could be finalists next year.

Unfortunately for him (fortunately for everyone except Collingwood fans), I think McRae is currently the coach for the way down.
