I've seen a few instances recently of tacklers attempting to injure the opposition by near-throwing them into the hard surface near the boundary fence. This needs some attention.

If that is not a suspension, the AFL is full of sh.. about player safety. Borderline dog act.

33-14 is completely at odds with the rest of the game.

After this game, I think that the Marvel tenants are the most disadvantaged teams in the League.

Totally screwed over at the MCG and Marvel is not the hardest place to play. At least teams outside of Melbourne have a home ground advantage. Of yes, to top it off, the Bulldogs played their 'home game' at their opposition's home ground.

De Goey will be better with the hitout but I can't see the Pies improving much on what they offered last year whereas others have.

Houston is a big in but others like Pendlebury and Moore are on the slide.

They're certainly competitive but not Top 4 level . Might make the 8 because of the MCG and Umpiring gerrymander.

Collingwood players nearly always had a player just ahead of the contest, especially NDaicos. Why would a team ever leave him alone on the field? A player should be standing goal side of him as much as possible. Anyway, it proved to be the decisive tactic as the Dogs players continually got sucked towards the ball. However, the dogs did look good when they used those numbers to advantage moving the ball downfield. The pies missed quite a few of easy shots on goal and probably should have won by 3 goals or so.
