Small thing that annoys me.
Was mentioned again in the media this week that McCartney taught us how to defend, and beveridge has come in to put the finishing touches on the attacking game plan.

Nothing could be further from the truth. Our D under McCartney was utterly abysmal. The drink is a defensive genius.

Anyways.....
Exactly right. If McCartney did anything it was instill a contested ball focus. The rest is all Bev.

After what Max Gawn said on 360 about how little people went to public school at the dees (not that big of a shock) I was wondering if there was anywhere to find where our players went to school? Or if anyone knows where a few went.

I know of a couple (Macrae and Hrovat went to Carey Grammar together, Webb at Caufield, Bontempelli at Marcelin) but was wondering if anyone knows the majority?

Oh, and the obvious one of our three gun f/s's at St Bernards and St Kevins.

Wood went to Geelong Grammar. J Grant went to Peninsula.

As other have said Barnes hit him off the ball, that then sparked a melee at half time so there was a lot of feeling in the match.

One of the all time great home & away games.

The Chief says Matthew Lloyd was, "..looking for the free kick, too...".

Ha ha One of the all time great Captain Obvious statements! :p

I don't know why I have an interest in this stuff, but I do.[emoji14]

Prudden was Assumption College.

Would be interesting to fill the list. Maybe if anyone gets to have a word with a player, as well as asking about his form, injuries etc, they can ask which school he went to :p.

Prudden Assumption College

Oops beaten to it.

Murph was at Marist Sion in Warragul. Wouldn't call it a private school, it was a small town Catholic high. Somewhere between the grammar school and the tech.
