If there were more pubs/cafes etc that stayed open(which is part of their upgrade request) as well then the mass exodus for the buses cars and trains you see would be negated.

The NRL mob seem to think this will solve & improve their crowds that they have never had, with modern stadiums because ANZ & Allianz stadiums are out dated!

Got nothing to do with the NRL. The state government have said they will upgrade no more stadiums beside a select few.
SCG and SFS for the east, ANZ and Skoda for inner west and either a new or upgrade multipurpose stadium for outer west is it.

The sfs/allianz is already rectangular.
The only reason this is all coming up is that the government has said no to more upgrades of suburban grounds

Of course, just like the AFL wanting Ovals and the FFA wanting soccorspecific. Why wouldn't they. And now that the government has made its decision all 4 codes will be fighting to get the best benefit. As they should.
Personally think they should build two in the greater west. That way you have an oval and rectangle in the east, the same again inner west and then 2 more in the greater west... But theres bucklies of that happening.
