Faced him - VFQ - Harwood equally as quick and scarier on a number of levels
Wouldn't have thought he would count as obscure - good Test record and world famous due to his beating of Lehmann in the 100m dash.Mark Richardson
hey mate, was it gatting who got hit in the face with the ball?
and the reporter asked him, where the ball hit him?
sure it was gatting.
Bowled a rep team out for 17 one day at TatyoonShane Harwood would have been scary as **** I reckon. He started FC cricket pretty late too I think, made me chuckle when I thought of all the country bumpkins he must have scared the s**t out of in his early 20s.
Ah, Troy Corbett gets a mention in this terrific piece on Geoff Foley as soon as someone mentioned the chucking aspect I remembered:

Theo is a sports reporter for Channel 7 over here, and does the sports bulletin on weekends.
Only after dropping one hahaTheo Doropolous also took a catch in a test match at the WACA 2009/10.
Went on as a sub fielder (12th man may have been released) and caught Suliemann Benn off Mitchell Johnson.
Pomers was a genuine talent - with the right headspace, he would have played a lot of cricket for Australia.Another obscure one, Luke Pomersbach , only played 1 T20I and came in at the last minute as he was a spectator at the ground. He came in for Hodge and even wore Hodgey's "17 Dodgeball" shirt (back in the days they had their nicknames of their shirts). That particular game saw 5 quicks play at the WACA - Lee, Johnson, Tait, Bracken & Noffke.

Some classic 9 commentary in there too, getting his identity wrong twice.
Michael Dimattina had good wraps on him as a keeper early on, maybe it was Darren Berry that pushed him out, i can't remember.
If he had everything ok in the head, he'd be in the Australian team now IMO. Pomers just summed up the WA sides of the era well.Only after dropping one haha

Was not a good enough bat.Michael Dimattina had good wraps on him as a keeper early on, maybe it was Darren Berry that pushed him out, i can't remember.
Was not a good enough bat.
Peter Anderson for me.Berry wasn't much better with the bat, but he's the best pure keeper I've seen in 40 years of watching cricket.
Michael Dighton.
Don't remember him though apart from his name.
