Not getting your take here at all. A vital part of the process being overridden, with a specific example we can relate to.

Davies-Uniake & Walker?

Polec, Pittard, Thomas, Scott, Taylor and Crocker for picks 11, 28, 39, 53 and 64?

You people are being ****ing ridiculous.

Does anybody here know with her qualifications just how difficult it is to get any job...let alone an esteemed title at an AFL club only a few years after graduating?

I don't want to unfair single her out as...

The whole club stinks of commercial nepotism right now. You know that phase a company goes through where highly sought after positions are no longer going to the best candidates but a 'mate of a mate'? That phase where the company gets stale and inefficient as people just work on preserving their jobs and securing jobs for those 'in the circle'?

Corey McKernan claims he offered to help the club and was denied.

It feels a bit like we are in that death spiral.

Did Corey claim this where? Twitter?

Yeah but it goes further than Brad as many have posted on here. If the players turn on Brad (minor miracle no.1), then that doesn't address the ills of Crocker (Brads BOSS), Dilena and Joyce. Buckley as Chairman is an even tougher kill still as he is on the Board and not an executive appointment like the others.

We need change at Board level, or at minimum CEO. That can then lead to a change in Director of Coaching, List Management, and whatever operational roles need attending to. If a majority of the Board is changed then Buckley can be dealt with also. Changing Brad would be great but the cancer is too deep and too wide spread to stop there.

I'm a bit tired of the talk and happy to be involved in action. Real action. Maybe I need to make some enquiries of like-minded North people of the Pagan era and make a case for change at Board level, which could then clean sweep the club and re-set. We have to take the guilt/responsibility off the players to a large extent if you want this scope of change.

BANG!

I am diametrically opposed to any notion that our list is shithouse and incapable of performing much, much better. If that was the case, then why all the guff to remove the coach?! Your Braydon Preuss example is pure unmitigated supercoach bullshit.

Stop clogging up a serious thread about a serious issue with your personal team selection fantasies.

I never said the list is shithouse. We currently have a list that SHOULD be a top 6 if not top 4 side this year. That’s why the start of the year has been so disappointing. And again that falls on the coach.

The thread is about internal issues...Our list manager being at logger heads over decisions made by Joyce is a perfect example of that. It all contributes to what is going on inside the club at present.

Right, so what's all the bullshit with Joyce? It's absurd. There's nothing wrong with that aspect of the club, and you are derailing the discussion from the REAL issues that are holding us back.

This. Surely there is agitation in the Coteries. We need a group to come forward with an alternative to the current board, and soon. The membership looks like its ready to back the move.
If he wasn’t such a highly sought after coach and had time, a group led by Ricky Ponting and perhaps Mckernan would be a dangerous prospect. We are completely and utterly faceless right now and there is no more revered figure in Australian sport than punter.

We need high profile names to garner traction and you look no further than your number one ticket holder and a former champion of the club.

I’m amused by the suggestions that we should break up this terrible boys club by getting Mckernan/Carey/name old player we loved back to Arden St. Sure, let’s be old Carlton, running the ultimate boys club and putting faith in guys with no discernible coaching or management capability because they played great footy for us back when we were good.

Brad was a good get from a successful background on and off field. Turns out he has Malthouse’s autocratic, inflexible approach in a more publicly palatable package, and the network and appointments in the club to not be challenged as he should be, given the performance of the team and list.

Time for change, yes, but not by looking backwards.

Yep, we need someone on the board will to speak up for North. King and McKernan could both do that. Corey has the business acumen as well. Not sure you would get punter, would also get Pagan involved in some form.

I don't think they should be involved in coaching. But we need a figure head on the board now, more than ever.

Hey, they would at least have an idea about football and would put that first.

It's not as if we are making them C.E.O.'s, although going by a long current list of General Managers, I see no reason why they wouldn't be currently qualified for that role either.

We are without a face Hearts to Hearts and we are slowly dwindling into oblivion. We literally had 17k attend a Saturday night game against a team who had a strong travelling supporter group. The members and the supporters are dissatisfied and disenfranchised- no minor change will fix this.

If there is no press conference Tuesday morning with the ceo explaining A CHANGE PLAN, after the worst week in many years, then the company line remains the same. Everything will be alright.

We the members need to drive the change and we need a mouthpiece to do so. Bring it on.

Really need a large group of us down at the club demanding change

Mobilise and support board challenges.

Nothing of any relevance will change until the head is cut off.

We need to build on what we have, not burn the farm.

What was the thing you were talking about prior to the Adelaide game?

Is there something that we can actually mobilise behind.

Words on the net are great but ultimately nothing.

It is hard to tell from the outside who is doing well in terms of management and who is not. Ultimate judgement is made by success both on and off field. Seem to be doing OK off field but on field an unmitigated disaster. Love to know the KPIs set by the board for Brad. 10 years of on field waste has to come to a head. Can't sack a heap of players and the board will not all roll over. Then Brad has to go. We need a fresh look at our list, our game plan and player development - all three right now are massive failures. We are not going to change the board - they have protected themselves so well that we cannot even nominate unless they say it is ok. Leadership positions off field are hard to impact. I suspect we may see some changes in mid level coaching as a peace offering.

Does our constitution not have some sort of provision to force a spill and vote?

That’s until they are voiced by someone who people listen to.

A highly unusual poor observation by OF.

Words on the net were responsible for the momentum that saved this club in 2007.

All of them, coach included on very nice salaries and leading very nice lives. Would all want it to continue for as long as possible.

Yep, this is the key.

Followed by actions mate.

Right now I just feel angry and need something more tangible.
