Okay every year we hear the same old clichés, whether it be during trade week, on draft day, or over the course of pre-season training.

I’m thinking that we formulate a list of all the terms those at the AFC will likely churn out during the off-season. I say each poster nominates a word or phrase that they believe will be said at one time or another. I’ll kick off proceedings with “biggest pre-season we’ve ever had”. Although perhaps I’m taking a risk because we all know the rigorous pre-seasons we’ve had under Craig so you’d doubt they’d up the anti even more. But I’m confident someone will say it at some stage.

So we’ll make a list, and hopefully by the time footy starts again we would have crossed off all the phrases on the list. :thumbsu:

Drummond: “Biggest pre-season we’ve ever had”
Capitalist: "we've (we have) improved our forward movement
Wayne's-World: “We're surprized he was still available…” CHECK
macca23: Referring to the selection taken at pick 76

"We had him in the top 20" CHECK

Mr_Smooth: "were gonna try and win the ansett cup"
"were still a long way from where we need to be as a group and as a footy club"

Stiffy_18: "we will learn from that"
that_dood: "We have learnt a lot over the last 12 months".
jackster83: "Youngsters such as Brent Reilly and Luke Jericho are ready for a breakout season."
Gets!: "This draft will play a large part in where we want to get to, as a club."
Lucid: “We are going to have a fantastic opportunity to play some of our younger guys this season, which is fantastic for them and fantastic for the club"
srv23: "We will endeaver to play fast, attacking risk taking football."
"We hope that this will provide to our supporters a snapshot of the type of football that we want to play at this footy club"

wattsyman: “We need to give our youngsters more responsibility”
"The older guys may need to take on different roles this year"

swanfan: “We will learn from this experience and move forward as a football club.”
Carl Spackler: "We're fitter than we've ever been"

"The playing group has set very high expectations for themselves"

I'm very, very pleased with all of the younger players we have played so far. There is not one that has disappointed us so we are really pleased.

"To be able to get that win against a side which jumped us early, and to have to play with 20 players for half a game, and on top of the premiership table situation, an enormous win, an enormous win that will hold us in good stead," Craig said.
