as a turkish supporter you could not have asked for any more,they were down in key personal but they played theyre guts out,things might have changed had kazim not smacked the post early in the first half but thats football,sometimes it goes your way ,sometimes it doesnt,germany only needed one chance in the first half and scored

they have given the fans one hell of a rollercoaster ride in this tournament and i for one rate this team much better than the one that made the semi finals of the 2002 world cup



bring on spain,belguim,bosnia,armenia and estonia in the wc qualifiers!

If you were tipping a winner based on form for the final, Spain would be everyone's tip. Yet they'll almost certainly go in underdogs and that may actually suit them. Shocking news for Villa but all the reports indicate Fabregas was the most influential player on the pitch, and they may need the extra midfielder against Germany. Torres can play the lone role and Guiza is providing excellent support from the bench.

Money's on the Germans, but heart's with Spain all the way.

First half they weren't too bad. Created some chances. Second half they just fell away and Spain played them off the pitch.

Thought Silva was very impressive.

How crap has Torres been this tournament. Villa has been twice the player and even Guiza has looked better when coming on during the tournament. I really like Guiza as a player. Looks like a rich mans Santa Cruz for mine.

I think I'd save my final judgment for Monday. Mertesacker and Metzelder are just the type of slow, clumsy defenders that Torres works best against. Guiza has been good though, but I hope he doesn't move to England - the 'geezer' jokes would wear thin after a couple of weeks.

It's been another tournament without a standout striker. Villa may end up topping the charts with four.

He plays a completely different, and far more ineffective role for Spain. His strengths are ignored and he does a lot of the donkey work.

Most people could've told you before the tournament that he would be a disappointment.

I've only seen him this morning + his missed penalty so I can't really comment.

But his goal this morning, good finish, but he got a helping hand from theRussians.. Great ball from Cesc, but WTF was the right back (at least I think it was) doing. Hilariously bad defending.
